[현대인성경 구약 레위기 18장] 불법적인 성관계를 금함 : [Contemporary Bible Old Testament Leviticus Chapter 18] Prohibiting short-range relationships

1 여호와께서 모세를 통하여 이스라엘 백성에게 말씀하셨다(Jehovah spoke to the Israelites through Moses)

2 "나는 여호와 너희 하나님이다("I am the Lord your God)

3 너희는 오랫동안 살았던 이집트 땅의 풍습을 좇지 말고 내가 너희를 인도할 가나안 땅의 풍습도 좇지 말아라(Do not follow the customs of the land of Egypt, where you lived a long time, nor do you follow the customs of the land of Canaan, to which I am bringing you)

4 너희는 내 법에 순종하고 내가 명령한 것을 그대로 준수하라. 나는 너희 하나님 여호와이다(Obey my laws and do exactly what I have commanded. I am the Lord your God)

5 그러므로 너희는 나의 법과 규정을 지켜야 한다. 사람이 이것을 행하면서 살 것이다. 나는 여호와이다(Therefore, you must abide by My laws and regulations. People will live doing this. I am Jehovah)

6 "너희는 가까운 친척과 성관계를 하지 말아라. 나는 여호와이다("You must not have sexual relations with close relatives. I am the LORD)

7 너희 자녀들은 부모에게 절대로 부끄러운 짓을 해서는 안 된다(You children should never shame your parents)

8 또 너희는 아버지의 첩에게 부끄러운 짓을 하지 말아라(And you shall not be ashamed of your father's concubine)

9 너희는 친자매이든 의붓자매이든, 그들이 너희와 한집에서 태어났든지 다른 곳에서 태어났든지 일체 그들과 성관계를 해서는 안 된다(You shall not have sexual intercourse with any of your sisters or stepsisters, whether they are born in the same household as you or in a different place)

10 너희는 친손녀나 외손녀를 욕보이지 말아라. 그들은 가까운 친척이다(You shall not insult your own granddaughters or your only granddaughters. they are close relatives)

11 너희는 의붓누이와 성관계를 하지 말아라. 그녀도 역시 너희 자매이다(You shall not have sexual intercourse with your step-sister. she is your sister too)

12 너희는 너희 고모에게 부끄러운 짓을 하지 말아라. 그녀는 너희 아버지와 가까운 친척이다(You shall not be ashamed of your aunt. She is a close relative of your father)

13 너희는 너희 이모에게 부끄러운 짓을 하지 말아라. 그녀는 너희 어머니와 가까운 친척이다(You don't do anything shameful to your aunt. She is a close relative of your mother)

14 너희는 너희 아버지 형제의 아내를 가까이하여 부끄러운 짓을 하지 말아라. 그들은 너희 백모와 숙모이다(Do not be ashamed of your father's brother's wife. they are your aunts and aunts)

15 너희는 너희 며느리를 욕보이지 말아라. 그녀는 너희 아들의 아내이다(You shall not insult your daughter-in-law. she is your son's wife)

16 너희는 너희 형제의 아내와 성관계를 하지 말아라. 그들은 너희 형수와 제수이다(You shall not have sexual intercourse with your brother's wife. They are your sister-in-law and sister-in-law)

17 너희는 너희가 성관계를 가진 여인의 딸이나 손녀를 욕보이지 말아라. 그들은 피를 함께 나눈 자들이므로 이런 짓은 악한 행위이다(You shall not insult the daughter or granddaughter of a woman with whom you have sexual intercourse. Since they are blood-sharers, this is an evil deed)

18 너희는 아내가 살아 있는 동안 그녀의 자매를 또 다른 아내로 맞아 그들이 서로 시기하는 일이 없도록 하라(Take another wife for your sister as long as your wife lives, so that they do not envy each other)

19 "너희는 월경중에 있는 부정한 여자와 성관계를 하지 말아라(“You shall not have sexual intercourse with an unfaithful woman who is menstruating)

20 또 너희는 남의 아내와 간통하여 너희 자신을 더럽히지 말아라(And you shall not defile yourselves by committing adultery with another man's wife)

21 "너희는 너희 자녀를 이방 신 몰렉에게 주어 불로 태우는 제물이 되게 함으로써 너희 하나님의 이름을 욕되게 하지 말아라. 나는 여호와이다(“You shall not dishonor the name of your God by giving your children to the heathen god Molech to be burned by fire. I am the LORD)

22 너희는 절대로 동성 연애를 해서는 안 된다. 이것은 추잡한 짓이다(You must never have a same-sex relationship. this is nasty)

23 남자이든 여자이든 누구든지 짐승과 음란한 짓을 하여 자신을 더럽히지 말아라. 이것은 무서운 죄이다(Do not defile yourself by committing fornication with animals, whether male or female. this is a terrible sin)

24 "너희는 이런 추잡한 일로 자신을 더럽히지 말아라. 내가 너희 앞에서 쫓아낼 이방 민족들이 이런 죄로 더럽혀졌고("Do not defile yourselves with these filthy things. The nations I am about to drive out before you are defiled with these sins)

25 그들의 온 땅도 더럽혀졌으므로 내가 그 땅에 사는 사람들을 벌하여 그 곳에서 쫓아낼 것이다(Their whole land has also been defiled, so I will punish those who live in it and drive them out of it)

26-27 그들은 이런 악한 짓을 하여 그 땅을 더럽혔으나 너희만은 그렇게 해서는 안 된다. 너희는 이스라엘 사람이건 너희 가운데 사는 외국인이건 모두 나 여호와의 법과 규정을 따르고 지켜야 한다(They have done this wicked thing and defiled the land, but you must not do that. All of you, Israelites and foreigners who live among you, must abide by the laws and regulations of the Lord)

28 너희가 만일 그 땅을 더럽히면 내가 쫓아낼 민족과 마찬가지로 너희도 그 땅에서 쫓아내겠다(If you defile the land, I will drive you out of it as well as the nations I will drive out)

29 누구든지 이런 악한 일을 하나라도 범하는 자는 내 백성 가운데 제거될 것이다(Anyone who commits any of these evil things will be removed from among my people)

30 그러므로 너희는 내 명령에 순종해야 하며 이런 악습을 따라서는 안 된다. 너희는 앞으로 들어가 살 그 땅의 백성들이 행하는 악한 풍습을 좇아 너희 자신을 더럽히지 말아라. 나는 너희 하나님 여호와이다"(Therefore, you must obey my commands and you must not follow these evil practices. Do not defile yourselves with the evil customs of the people of the land where you will live. I am the Lord your God")
