1 “의로운 자들아, 너희는 여호와께 즐거움으로 노래하라. 여호와를 찬양하는 것은 정직한 자에게 마땅한 일이다.”Sing with joy to Jehovah, you righteous ones. Praising Jehovah is right for the honest
‭‭2 “수금으로 여호와께 감사하고 현악기로 여호와께 찬송하라.”Give thanks to Jehovah with the harp and sing praises to Jehovah with stringed instruments
‭‭3 “새 노래를 지어 여호와께 노래하고 능숙하게 연주하며 기쁨으로 외쳐라.”Compose a new song, sing it to Jehovah, play it skillfully, and shout for joy
‭‭4 “여호와의 말씀은 진실하며 그가 행하는 모든 일은 신뢰할 수 있다.”Jehovah’s word is true and all he does can be trusted
‭‭5 “여호와께서 의롭고 공정한 것을 사랑하시므로 세상이 온통 그의 사랑으로 충만하구나.”The Lord loves what is just and fair, and the earth is full of his love
‭‭6 “여호와의 명령으로 하늘이 만들어졌으며 그의 말씀으로 수많은 별들이 생겨났다.”By Jehovah’s command the heavens were made, and by his word countless stars were created
‭‭7 “그가 엄청나게 많은 물을 모아 거대한 창고에 넣어 두셨다.”He gathered a great quantity of water and stored it in a great storehouse
‭‭8 “온 땅이여, 여호와를 두려워하라. 모든 세상 사람들아, 그를 높이 받들어 섬겨라.”Fear the LORD, all the earth. All people of the world, lift him up and serve him
‭‭9 “그가 말씀하시므로 세상이 창조되었고 그가 명령하시므로 모든 것이 나타났다.”He spoke, and the world was created; He commanded, and all things appeared
‭‭10 “여호와께서는 세상 나라들이 계획한 것을 좌절시키시고 그들의 목적을 이루지 못하게 하신다.”Jehovah thwarts the plans of worldly nations and prevents them from achieving their purposes
‭‭11 “그러나 여호와의 계획은 변함이 없고 그의 목적은 어느 세대에나 한결같다.”But Jehovah’s plans remain the same and his purposes remain the same in every generation
‭‭12 “여호와를 하나님으로 모신 나라가 복이 있고 하나님이 자기 백성으로 택하신 민족이 복이 있다!”Blessed is the nation that has Jehovah as its God, and blessed is the nation that God has chosen as his people!
‭‭13 “여호와께서 하늘에서 굽어살펴 전인류를 보시며”The Lord looks down from heaven and sees all mankind
‭‭14 “그의 처소에서 세상 모든 사람들을 살피신다.”He watches over all the people in the world from his place
‭‭15 “여호와는 모든 사람들의 마음을 만드시고 그들이 행하는 일을 일일이 지켜 보고 계신다”Jehovah forms the hearts of all people and watches everything they do
‭‭16 “군사가 많다고 해서 왕이 승리하는 것은 아니며 용사가 힘이 세다고 해서 이기는 것은 아니다.”Just because there are many soldiers does not mean that a king will win, and just because a warrior is strong does not mean that he will win
‭‭17 “전쟁의 승패가 말에 달려 있는 것이 아니니 아무리 그 힘이 강해도 그것으로 이길 수는 없다.”Victory or defeat in war does not depend on words, so no matter how strong you are, you cannot win with just those words
‭‭18 “여호와는 자기를 두려운 마음으로 섬기고 그의 한결같은 사랑을 의지하는 자들을 살피셔서”The Lord watches over those who serve him with fear and trust in his steadfast love
‭‭19 “그들을 죽음에서 건지시며 흉년에도 그들을 살리신다.”He saves them from death and saves them even in times of famine
‭‭20 “우리가 희망을 가지고 여호와를 바라보는 것은 그가 우리의 도움이요 방패이기 때문이다.”We look to Jehovah with hope, for he is our help and shield
‭‭21 “우리 마음이 그 안에서 기뻐하는 것은 우리가 그의 거룩한 이름을 의지하기 때문이다.”Our hearts rejoice in him because we trust in his holy name
‭‭22 “여호와여, 우리가 주께 희망을 둔 대로 주의 한결같은 사랑을 우리에게 베푸소서.”Lord, give us your steadfast love, just as we have placed our hope in you
