1 “(여자) 내가 잠자리에서 밤새도록 사랑하는 님을 그리워하고 찾아도 찾지 못하였네.”(Woman) I was looking for my beloved all night long in bed, but I couldn't find him
‭‭2 “내가 일어나 거리와 광장으로 나가서 사랑하는 님을 찾았으나 만나지 못하였다.”I got up and went out into the streets and squares to seek my beloved, but I did not find him
‭‭3 “야경꾼들을 만나 내 사랑하는 님을 보았느냐고 물었지.”I met the night watchmen and asked them if they had seen my beloved
‭‭4 “그들을 떠난 즉시 나는 내 사랑하는 님을 만났네. 그래서 그를 붙잡아 가지 못하게 하고 내가 태어난 우리 집 방으로 데리고 갔다.”As soon as I left them I met my beloved. So I caught him, prevented him from going, and took him to the room in our house where I was born
‭‭5 “예루살렘 여자들아, 내가 너희에게 간절히 부탁한다. 제발 우리의 사랑을 방해하지 말아다오.”Women of Jerusalem, I earnestly ask you, Please don't disturb our love
‭‭6 “(여자) 상인들의 향품으로 만든 몰약과 유향의 향기를 날리며 연기 기둥처럼 사막에서 오는 자가 누구인가?”(Woman) Who is this who comes from the desert like a pillar of smoke, blowing the fragrance of myrrh and frankincense made from the merchants' perfumes?
‭‭7 “보라, 이스라엘의 용감한 병사 60명의 호위를 받으며 솔로몬의 마차가 오고 있다.”Behold, Solomon's chariot is coming, escorted by 60 brave men of Israel
‭‭8 “그 경호병들은 칼을 잘 쓰는 역전의 용사들이며 밤에도 왕을 경호하려고 모두 허리에 칼을 찼구나.”The guards are warriors who are good at using swords, and they all wear swords at their waists to protect the king at night
‭‭9 “솔로몬왕이 레바논의 나무로 자기 마차를 만들었으니”King Solomon made his chariot from the wood of Lebanon
‭‭10 “그 기둥은 은이요 바닥은 금이며 앉는 자리는 자색 천으로 만들었고 그 내부는 예루살렘 여자들의 사랑으로 꾸며졌네.”Its pillars were of silver, its floors were of gold, its seats were of purple cloth, and its interior was decorated with the love of the women of Jerusalem
‭‭11 “시온의 여자들아, 나와서 솔로몬왕을 보아라. 결혼식 날 그의 마음이 기쁠 때 그 어머니가 씌워 준 면류관을 보아라.”Women of Zion, come out and see King Solomon. Look at the crown his mother placed on him on his wedding day when his heart was happy
