[구약성경 창세기9장] 대홍수 이후 노아에게 약속을 주시는 하나님 : [Old Testament, Genesis 9] God Gives Promises to Noah After the Flood

하나님이 노아와 맺은 계약

1. 하나님이 노아와 그의 아들들을 축복하여 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "너희는 자녀를 많이 낳고 번성하여 땅을 가득 채워라

(God blessed Noah and his sons and said: “Have many children and multiply and fill the earth)

 -> 요즘 시대에 자녀를 많이 낳는다고 어리석다고 말할지 모르지만, 하나님은 말씀하셨다기보다는.. 명령하셨다. 주께서 만들어주신 세상에 행복채널을 많이 만들라고

(It may be said that it is foolish to have many children in this day and age, but God has commanded rather than said. To create many happy channels in the world the Lord has made)

2. 땅의 모든 짐승과 공중의 새와 땅에 기는 생물과 바다의 고기가 모두 너희를 두려워하고 무서워할 것이다. 이 모든 것은 내가 다 너희에게 준 것이다

(Every beast of the earth, and every bird of the air, and every creeping creature of the earth, and every fish of the sea will fear and dread you. All this I have given to you)

-> 하나님이 이 세상을 정복하라고 주셨는데, 우리는 감사함을 잊고 사는 때가 너무 많은 것 같다

(God has given us to conquer this world, but we seem to forget our gratitude too many times)

3. 내가 곡식과 채소를 너희 식물로 준 것처럼 살아서 움직이는 모든 동물도 너희 식물로 주겠다

(Just as I gave you grain and vegetables for your food, so I will give all living and moving animals for your food)

4. 그러나 너희는 고기를 생피가 들어 있는 그대로 먹어서는 안 된다

(But you must not eat meat with its raw skin on it)

5-6. 살인은 금물이다. 사람은 나의 모습대로 창조되었으므로 사람을 죽인 짐승이나 인간은 반드시 죽여야 한다

(Murder is forbidden. Since man was created in my own image, any animal or human that killed a man must be killed)

-> 모든 사람은 하나님의 형상대로 만들어졌기 때문에 신성한 존재이다. 그걸 깨닫지 못하고 살아가기 때문에, 많은 죄를 저지르고 자신을 소중하게 여기지 않는 결과가 나타나는 것으로 보인다

(All human beings are divine because they are made in the image of God. Because we live without realizing it, it seems that the result is that we commit many sins and do not value ourselves)

7. 너희는 자녀를 많이 낳고 온 땅에 번성하여라"(Have many children and multiply in all the land")

8. 하나님이 노아와 그의 아들들에게 다시 말씀하셨다(God spoke again to Noah and his sons)

9. "이제 내가 너희와 너희 후손과(“Now I am with you and your descendants)

10. 그리고 너희와 함께 배에서 나온 모든 새와 짐승과 땅의 모든 생물들에게 약속한다

(And I promise to every bird and beast and every living creature of the earth that has come out of the boat with you)

-> 하나님은 반드시 약속하신 것을 지키시는 분이다(God always keeps His promises)

11. 내가 두 번 다시 홍수로 모든 생물을 멸종시키지 않겠다. 그러므로 온 땅을 휩쓰는 홍수가 다시는 없을 것이다

(I will never again flood all living things. Therefore, there will be no more floods to sweep the whole earth)

12. 내가 너희와 그리고 너희와 함께 있는 모든 생물들과 대대로 맺을 계약의 표는 이것이다

(This is the sign of the covenant I will make with you and with all living creatures that are with you from generation to generation)

13. 내가 무지개를 구름 속에 두었으니 이것이 나와 세상 사이에 계약의 표가 될 것이다

(I have placed the rainbow in the clouds, and this will be a sign of a covenant between me and the world)

14. 내가 땅에 구름을 보내 무지개가 구름 속에 나타나면

(When I send clouds to the earth and a rainbow appears in the clouds)

15. 내가 너희와 모든 생물 사이에 맺은 계약을 기억하겠다. 홍수 때문에 생물이 전멸되는 일이 다시는 없을 것이다

(I will remember the covenant I made between you and every living creature. Flood will never again destroy life)

16. 무지개가 구름 가운데 나타날 때마다 내가 그것을 보고 땅의 모든 생물과 맺은 나의 영원한 계약을 기억할 것이다

(Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember my everlasting covenant with every living thing of the earth)

17. 이것이 바로 모든 생물과 맺은 계약의 표이다"(This is the mark of the covenant with all living things")

 

노아의 세 아들

18. 배에서 나온 노아의 아들들은 셈과 함과 야벳이었는데 함은 가나안의 아버지였다

(The sons of Noah that came out of the boat were Shem, Ham, and Japheth; Ham was the father of Canaan)

19. 그리고 노아의 이 세 아들을 통해서 온 세상에 사람들이 퍼지게 되었다

(And through these three sons of Noah, people spread throughout the world)

20. 노아는 농사를 시작하여 포도나무를 심었다(Noah started farming and planted vines)

21. 하루는 그가 포도주를 마시고 취하여 자기 천막 안에서 벌거벗은 채 누워 있었다

(One day he drank wine and was drunk and lay naked in his tent)

22. 가나안의 아버지인 함이 자기 아버지의 나체를 보고 밖으로 나가서 그 사실을 두 형제에게 말하였다

(When Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father naked, he went out and told the two brothers)

23. 그러자 셈과 야벳이 옷을 가져다가 어깨에 메고 뒷걸음질 쳐서 들어가 아버지의 나체를 덮어 주고 계속 얼굴을 돌린 채 아버지의 나체를 보지 않았다

(Then Shem and Japheth took the clothes, put them on their shoulders, and backed in, covered their father's nakedness, and kept turning their faces away from seeing their father's nakedness)

-> 우리 또한 주의해야 한다. 남의 허물을 덮어주는 자비함이 있어야 한다

(We also need to be careful. Must have compassion to cover the faults of others)

24. 노아는 술이 깬 후에 함이 자기에게 한 일을 알고(After Noah woke up, he knew what Ham had done to him)

25. 이렇게 말하였다. "가나안은 저주를 받아 자기 형제들에게 가장 천한 종이 되리라

(Said: “Cursed is Canaan, and he will be the lowest servant to his brethren)

26. 셈의 하나님 여호와를 찬양하라. 가나안은 셈의 종이 되기를 바라며

(Praise the LORD, the God of Shem. Canaan wants to be a servant of Shem)

-> 언제 어디서나 하나님 우리를 상주시려고 지켜보고 계신다. 그렇니 항상 깨어 있어 은혜 있는 자가 되어야 한다

(Anytime, anywhere, God is watching to reward us. So, you should always be awake and be a gracious person)

27. 하나님이 야벳을 번창하게 하셔서 셈의 축복을 함께 누리게 하시고 가나안은 야벳의 종이 되기를 원하노라"

(May God make Japheth prosper so that they may enjoy the blessings of Shem together, and I want Canaan to become Japheth's servant)

-> 하나님을 함께 믿는다고 할지라도 상벌의 차이는 반드시 있다

(Even if we believe in God together, there is always a difference between reward and punishment)

28. 홍수 후에도 노아는 350년을 더 살다가(After the flood, Noah lived another 350 years)

29. 950세에 죽었다(died at the age of 950)
