1 “이스라엘 백성이 이집트를 떠난 지 2년째가 되는 해 2월 1일에 여호와께서 시 나이 광야 성막에서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.”(On the first day of the second month, in the second year after the Israelites left Egypt, the Lord spoke to Moses at the tabernacle in the wilderness of Sinai)
‭2-4 “너희는 이스라엘의 각 지파와 집안별 로 20세 이상 된 남자로서 전쟁에 나가 싸울 수 있는 사람이 몇 명이나 되는지 조사하여라. 너와 아론은 각 지파에서 선출된 지도자들의 도움을 받아 직접 그 인구 조사를 실시해야 한다.”(From each of the tribes and families of Israel, find out how many men from 20 years of age or older are able to fight in battle. You and Aaron, assisted by the elected leaders of each tribe, must conduct the census yourself)
‭‭5 “너희를 도와줄 각 지파의 지도자들은 다음과 같다: 르우벤 지파에서 스데울의 아들 엘리술,”(The tribal leaders who will help you are: Elizur son of Shedeur from the tribe of Reuben)
‭‭6 “시므온 지파에서 수리삿대의 아들 슬루미엘,”(From the tribe of Simeon, Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai)
‭‭7 “유다 지파에서 암미나답의 아들 나손,”(Nahshon son of Amminadab from the tribe of Judah)
‭‭8 “잇사갈 지파에서 수알의 아들 느다넬,”(Nethanel son of Zuar from the tribe of Issachar)
‭‭9 “스불론 지파에서 헬론의 아들 엘리압,”(Eliab son of Helon from the tribe of Zebulun)
‭‭10 “요셉 자손 중에서는 에브라임 지파에서 암미훗의 아들 엘리사마, 므낫세 지파에서 브다술의 아들 가말리엘,”(Of the descendants of Joseph, from the tribe of Ephraim, Elishama the son of Ammihud; from the tribe of Manasseh, Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur)
‭‭11 “베냐민 지파에서 기드오니의 아들 아비단,”(Abidan son of Gideoni from the tribe of Benjamin)
‭‭12 “단 지파에서 암미삿대의 아들 아히에셀,”(From the tribe of Dan, Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai)
‭‭13 “아셀 지파에서 오그란의 아들 바기엘,”(Pagiel son of Ochran from the tribe of Asher)
‭‭14 “갓 지파에서 드우엘의 아들 엘리아삽,”(Eliasaph son of Deuel from the tribe of Gad)
‭‭15 “납달리 지파에서 에난의 아들 아히라이다.”(Ahira the son of Enan from the tribe of Naphtali)
‭‭16 “이들은 모두 이스라엘 백성 가운데서 선출된 각 지파의 지도자들이었다.”(These were all tribal leaders elected from among the people of Israel)
‭‭17-19 “그 날에 모세와 아론과 각 지파 지도자 들은 20세 이상의 이스라엘 모든 남자들을 소집하여 자기 소속 지파와 집안별로 등록하게 하였다. 이 모든 일은 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 실시되었다.”(On that day, Moses, Aaron, and the leaders of the tribes summoned all the males of Israel from 20 years of age and older to register themselves by their tribes and families. All this was done as Jehovah had commanded Moses)
‭‭20 “전쟁에 나가 싸울 수 있는 20세 이상 등록된 이스라엘 남자들의 수는 각 지파별로 다음과 같다:”(The number of registered Israelite males from 20 years of age and older who may go to war and fight is as follows for each tribe)
‭‭21 “야곱의 맏아들 르우벤 지파에서 46,500명”(46,500 from the tribe of Reuben, the firstborn of Jacob)
‭‭22-23 “시므온 지파에서 59,300명”(59,300 from the tribe of Simeon)
‭‭24-25 “갓 지파에서 45,650명”(45,650 from the tribe of Gad)
‭‭26-27 “유다 지파에서 74,600명”(74,600 from the tribe of Judah)
‭‭28-29 “잇사갈 지파에서 54,400명”(54,400 from the tribe of Issachar)
‭‭30-31 “스불론 지파에서 57,400명”(57,400 from the tribe of Zebulun)
‭‭32-33 “에브라임 지파에서 40,500명”(40,500 from the tribe of Ephraim)
‭‭34-35 “므낫세 지파에서 32,200명”(32,200 from the tribe of Manasseh)
‭‭36-37 “베냐민 지파에서 35,400명”(35,400 from the tribe of Benjamin)
‭‭38-39 “단 지파에서 62,700명”(62,700 from the tribe of Dan)

‭‭50 “성막과 그 모든 비품을 관리하게 하라. 그들은 성막과 그 모든 기구를 운반하고 성막 주변에 살면서 봉사하게 하라.”(Let them take care of the tabernacle and all its furnishings. Let them carry the tabernacle and all its utensils and live and serve around the tabernacle)
‭‭51 “성막을 다른 곳으로 옮길 때에는 레위인들이 그것을 걷고 세워야 한다. 그 외에 다른 사람이 이 성막에 접근하면 처형시켜라.”(When the tabernacle is moved to another place, the Levites must walk and erect it. Execute anyone else who approaches this tabernacle)
‭‭52 “그리고 이스라엘의 각 지파는 자기 지파의 기를 가지고 지파별로 지역을 정하여 천막을 쳐야 한다.”(And each tribe of Israel must have its own tribal standard, and each tribe must set up an area to pitch its tents)
‭‭53 “그러나 레위인들은 성막 주위에 천막을 쳐서 이스라엘 백성에게 나 여호와의 진노가 내리지 않게 하라. 이와 같이 레위인들은 성막을 지키는 책임을 져야 한다.”(But the Levites pitched their tents around the tabernacle so that the wrath of the Lord would not fall on the Israelites. Likewise, the Levites had the responsibility of guarding the tabernacle)
‭‭54 “그래서 이스라엘 백성은 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 하였다.”(So the Israelites did as the Lord had commanded Moses)
