1 “여호와는 위대하시므로 우리 하나님의 성, 곧 그의 거룩한 산에서 높이 찬양을 받으실 만하다.”Great is the LORD, worthy of praise on high in the city of our God, in his holy mountain
‭‭2 “위대한 왕의 성, 북방에 있는 시온산은 그 터가 높고 아름다워 온 세계에 기쁨을 주는구나.”The city of the great king, Mount Zion in the north, has a high and beautiful foundation and brings joy to the whole world
‭‭3 “하나님은 자기가 예루살렘의 요새 되심을 보여 주셨다.”God showed himself to be a fortress in Jerusalem
‭‭4 “왕들이 합세하여 진격해 왔으나”The kings joined forces and advanced,
‭‭5 “그들이 예루살렘을 보고 놀라 허겁지겁 달아났다.”When they saw Jerusalem, they were frightened and fled in haste
‭‭6 “무서운 공포가 그들을 사로잡으니 그들의 고통이 해산하는 여인의 진통 같구나.”A terrible fear possesses them; their pain is like the pangs of a woman in labor
‭‭7 “하나님이 동풍에 부서진 다시스의 배처럼 그들을 파멸시키셨다네.”God destroyed them like the ships of Tarshish that were broken by the east wind
‭‭8 “우리가 하나님이 행하신 일을 듣기만 했는데 이제는 우리가 전능하신 여호와, 우리 하나님의 성에서 그것을 보았다. 하나님이 이 성을 영원히 안전하게 하시리라.”We had heard of what God had done, but now we have seen it in the city of the Lord Almighty, our God. God will make this city safe forever
‭‭9 “하나님이시여, 우리가 주의 성전에서 주의 한결같은 사랑을 생각합니다.”God, we remember your steadfast love in your temple
‭‭10 “하나님이시여, 주의 이름과 같이 주를 찬양하는 소리도 땅 끝까지 미쳤으니 주는 정의로 다스리시는 분이십니다.”O God, the voice of your praise has gone out to the ends of the earth, just like your name. You rule with justice
‭‭11 “주의 판단 때문에 시온산이 즐거워하고 유다 성들이 기뻐합니다.”Mount Zion rejoices and the cities of Judah rejoice because of your judgments
‭‭12 “너희는 가서 시온성을 돌아보고 망대가 몇 개나 되는지 세어 보아라.”Go and look around the city of Zion and count how many towers there are
‭‭13 “그 성벽을 주의 깊게 보고 궁전을 살펴서 다음 세대에 전하라.”Look carefully at the walls, examine the palace, and pass it on to the next generation
‭‭14 “이 하나님은 영원히 우리 하나님이시므로 우리가 죽을 때까지 우리를 인도하시리라.”This God will be our God forever and will guide us until we die
