1 “광야와 메마른 땅이 기뻐하며 황무지에도 꽃이 필 것이다.”The wilderness and the dry land will rejoice; even the wastelands will bloom
‭‭2 “사막이 기쁜 노래로 즐거워하며 레바논 산처럼 푸르고 갈멜과 사론의 목장처럼 아름다울 것이며 모든 사람이 여호와의 영광과 우리 하나님의 위대하심을 보게 될 것이다.”The desert will rejoice with joyful song; it will be green as Mount Lebanon and pleasant as the pastures of Carmel and Sharon; and everyone will see the glory of the Lord and the greatness of our God
‭‭3 “너희는 약하고 힘없는 자들을 격려하고 붙들어 주며”You encourage and support the weak and helpless
‭‭4 “두려워하는 자들에게 이렇게 말하라. “너희는 용기를 가지고 두려워하지 말아라. 너희 하나님이 오셔서 너희 원수들에게 복수하시고 너희를 구원하실 것이다.””Say this to those who are afraid: “Be courageous and do not be afraid. Your God will come and take vengeance on your enemies and save you
‭‭5 “그때 소경의 눈이 뜨이고 귀머거리의 귀가 열릴 것이며”Then the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf will be opened
‭‭6 “절름발이가 사슴처럼 뛰고 벙어리가 기뻐 외칠 것이다. 광야에서 물이 솟구치고 사막에도 시내가 흐를 것이며”The lame will leap like a deer, and the dumb will shout for joy. Waters will gush out in the wilderness, streams will flow in the desert
‭‭7 “뜨거운 모래밭이 못이 되고 메마른 땅에 샘물이 솟고 이리가 살던 곳에 갈대와 골풀이 자랄 것이다.”The hot sand will become a pool, springs of water will gush out of the dry land, and reeds and rushes will grow where wolves used to live
‭‭8 “거기에 ‘성결의 길’ 이라고 부르는 대로가 열릴 것이니 깨끗하지 못한 자는 그리로 지나가지 못할 것이다. 그 길을 걷는 자와 하나님이 함께하시므로 어리석은 사람도 거기서 방황하지 않을 것이다.”There will be a highway called the ‘Way of Holiness,’ and no one who is unclean will be able to pass through it. No fool will wander there, for God is with those who walk that path
‭‭9 “그리고 거기에는 사자와 같은 사나운 짐승도 나타나지 않으므로 그런 것을 만나지 않을 것이다. 여호와께서 구원하신 자들이 그 길을 지나”And since fierce beasts such as lions do not appear there, you will not encounter such a thing. Those whom the Lord saved passed that way
‭‭10 “노래하며 시온에 이를 것이니 그들에게는 슬픔과 탄식이 사라지고 영원한 기쁨과 즐거움만이 있을 것이다.”They will come to Zion with singing, and their sorrow and sighing will be gone, and there will be only eternal joy and gladness
