[현대인성경 KLB 구약 예레미야 41장] 그달랴가 살해됨 Gdaliah is murdered

1 “그 해 7월에 왕족 엘리사마의 손자이며 느다냐의 아들인 왕의 신하 이스마엘이 열 사람과 함께 미스바에 있는 아히감의 아들 그달랴에게 가서 함께 식사를 하게 되었다.”In the seventh month of that year, Ishmael son of Nethaniah, the grandson of Elishama, a royal official, and ten men went to Mizpah to eat with Gedaliah son of Ahikam
‭‭2 “그런데 식사 도중에 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘과 그와 같이 온 열 사람이 일어나서 바빌로니아 왕이 그 땅 총독으로 세운 사반의 손자이며 아히감의 아들인 그달랴를 칼로 쳐죽였다.”But while they were eating, Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and the ten men who were with him rose up and struck down with the sword Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon had appointed governor over the land
‭‭3 “그리고 이스마엘은 또 그달랴와 함께 미스바에 있던 모든 유대인들과 그 곳에 있던 바빌로니아 군인들도 죽였다.”And Ishmael also killed all the Jews who were with Gedaliah at Mizpah, and the Babylonian soldiers who were there
‭‭4 “그달랴의 살해 사건을 아는 자는 아무도 없었다. 그런데 그 다음날”No one knew about the murder of Gdaliah. But the next day
‭‭5 “수염을 깎고 옷을 찢고 몸에 상처를 낸 80명의 사람들이 성전에 바칠 곡식의 소제물과 향을 가지고 세겜과 실로와 사마리아에서 왔다.”Eighty men with shaved beards, torn clothes, and cuts on their bodies came from Shechem, Shiloh, and Samaria, bringing grain offerings and incense to the temple
‭‭6 “그때 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘은 그들을 맞기 위해 미스바에서 울며 나오다가 그들을 만나자 “아히감의 아들 그달랴에게 갑시다” 하고 말하였다.”Then Ishmael son of Nethaniah came out from Mizpah to meet them, weeping. When he met them, he said, “Come, let us go to Gedaliah son of Ahikam.”
‭‭7 “그들이 성 안에 들어섰을 때 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘과 그 부하들이 그들을 죽이고 그 시체를 구덩이에 던져 넣어 버렸다.”When they entered the city, Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and his men killed them and threw their bodies into a pit
‭‭8 “그러나 그들 중 열 사람은 이스마엘에게 “제발 우리를 죽이지 마시오. 우리에게는 들에 숨겨 놓은 밀과 보리와 기름과 꿀이 있습니다” 하고 애원하였다. 그래서 이스마엘은 그들을 죽이지 않고 살려 주었다.”But ten of them pleaded with Ishmael, saying, “Please do not kill us. We have wheat, barley, oil, and honey hidden in the field.” So Ishmael spared them and let them live
‭‭9 “이스마엘이 자기가 죽인 시체를 던져 넣은 그 구덩이는 아사왕이 이스라엘의 바아사왕을 방어하기 위해서 판 것인데 이스마엘은 그 곳을 시체로 가득 채웠다.”
The pit into which Ishmael threw the bodies of his dead was the one that King Asa had dug to protect himself against King Baasha of Israel, but Ishmael filled it with the bodies of his dead
10 “그러고서 그는 바빌로니아의 경호대장 느부사라단이 아히감의 아들 그달랴에게 맡긴 왕의 딸들과 미스바에 남아 있는 모든 백성을 사로잡아 암몬 땅을 향해 출발하였다.”Then he took captive the king's daughters and all the people who were left at Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the Babylonian guard had entrusted to Gedaliah son of Ahikam, and he set out for the land of Ammon
‭‭11 “가레아의 아들 요하난과 그와 함께 있던 모든 군 지휘관들이 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 행한 모든 악한 일에 대하여 듣고”When Johanan son of Kareah and all the commanders of the forces with him heard about all the evil that Ishmael son of Nethaniah had done
‭‭12 “그 부하들을 이끌고 이스마엘과 싸우러 가다가 기브온에 있는 큰 못 근처에서 그를 만났다.”As he led his men to fight against Ishmael, he met him near the great pool at Gibeon
‭‭13 “그러자 이스마엘에게 잡혀 있던 모든 백성들이 가레아의 아들 요하난과 그와 함께 온 모든 군 지휘관들을 보고 기뻐하며”Then all the people who had been taken captive by Ishmael saw Johanan the son of Kareah and all the commanders of the forces who had come with him and they rejoiced
‭‭14 “그들에게 달려갔다.”ran to them
‭‭15 “그러나 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘과 그의 부하 8명은 요하난을 피하여 암몬 땅으로 도망하였다.”But Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and eight of his men fled from Johanan to the land of Ammon
‭‭16 “요하난과 그와 함께 있던 모든 군 지휘관들은 이스마엘이 아히감의 아들 그달랴를 죽이고 미스바에서 잡아간 모든 사람들, 곧 군인과 여자들과 아이들과 궁중 관리들을 기브온에서 빼앗아 그들을 이끌고”Johanan and all the commanders of the forces who were with him took from Gibeon all the people whom Ishmael had taken captive from Mizpah after he killed Gedaliah son of Ahikam—the soldiers, the women, the children, and the royal officials
‭‭17 “이집트로 향해 가다가 베들레헴 근처에 있는 게룻 김함에 머물게 되었다.”On their way to Egypt, they stopped at Gerut Kimham near Bethlehem
‭‭18 “이것은 바빌로니아 왕이 그 땅 총독으로 세운 아히감의 아들 그달랴를 이스마엘이 죽였으므로 그들이 바빌로니아 사람을 두려워했기 때문이었다.”This was because they were afraid of the Babylonians, because Ishmael had killed Gedaliah son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon had appointed governor over the land
