[현대인성경 KLB 구약 사무엘하 15장] 다윗이 도망함 : David runs away

1 “그 후에 압살롬은 전차 한 대와 말들을 구하고 호위병 50명도 고용하였다.”(Absalom then obtained a chariot and horses and hired 50 bodyguards)
‭‭2 “그는 매일 아침 일찍 일어나 성문으로 나가곤 했는데 그는 성문 길가에 서서 누구든지 소송 문제로 왕을 찾아오는 사람이 있으면 그를 불러 어디 사람이냐고 묻고 그가 어느 지파 사람이라고 대답하면”(He used to get up early every morning and go out to the city gate, and he stood by the roadside of the city gate. If anyone came to the king with a case, he called him and asked him where he was from, and if he answered what tribe he was from,)
‭‭3 “그는 곧잘 이렇게 말하였다. “이 문제에 있어서 당신이 옳고 정당하지만 유감스럽게도 당신의 소송 문제를 들어 줄 대리인을 왕이 세우지 않았습니다.”(He often said this. “You are right and just in this matter, but unfortunately the King has not appointed a representative to hear your case)
‭‭4 “내가 만일 이 땅의 재판관이 된다면 얼마나 좋겠습니까! 그러면 소송 문제를 가진 사람은 누구든지 나에게 찾아올 수 있고 또 나는 그들의 문제를 공정하게 해결해 줄 것입니다.””(How I wish I could be the judge of the earth! Then anyone with a litigation problem can come to me and I will settle their case fairly.”)
‭‭5 “그러고서 그는 누구든지 자기에게 와서 절하려고 하면 그러지 못하게 하고 오히려 손을 내밀어 그를 붙들고 입을 맞추곤 하였다.”(Then he would not let anyone come and bow down to him, but would stretch out his hand and catch him and kiss him)
‭‭6 “압살롬은 왕에게 재판받으러 나오는 모든 사람을 이런 식으로 대하여 이스라엘 사람의 마음을 도둑질하였다.”(Absalom stole the hearts of the Israelites in this way by treating all who came to the king to be judged)
‭‭7-8 “그로부터 4년이 지난 후에 압살롬이 왕에게 말하였다. “내가 여호와께 서약한 것이 있습니다. 지금 헤브론으로 가서 그 서약을 지키게 해 주십시오. 내가 그술에 있을 때 나는 여호와께서 나를 예루살렘으로 다시 돌아가게 해 주시면 여호와께 제물을 드리겠다고 서약하였습니다.””(After four years, Absalom spoke to the king. “I have made a vow to Jehovah. Now let me go to Hebron and keep that oath. While I was in Geshur, I made a vow to the Lord that if he would bring me back to Jerusalem, I would make a sacrifice to the Lord.”)
‭‭9 “그러자 왕은 “좋다. 가서 너의 서약을 지켜라” 하고 허락하였다. 그래서 압살롬은 헤브론으로 갔다.”(Then the king said, “Okay. Go and keep your oath.” So Absalom went to Hebron)
‭‭10 “그러나 그는 이스라엘 각처에 몰래 사람들을 보내며 이렇게 지시하였다. “너희는 나팔 소리가 나거든 ‘압살롬이 헤브론에서 왕이 되었다!’ 하고 외쳐라.””(But he secretly sent men to all parts of Israel and gave them these instructions. “When the trumpet sounds, you shout, ‘Absalom has become king in Hebron!’”)
‭‭11 “그때 압살롬의 초대를 받아 예루살렘에서 그와 함께 간 사람 200명이 있었으나 그들은 압살롬의 의도가 무엇인지 전혀 알지 못하였다.”(At that time there were 200 men who had been invited by Absalom and had gone with him from Jerusalem, but they had no idea what Absalom's intentions were)
‭‭12 “압살롬은 제사를 드리는 동안 사람을 보내 다윗의 자문관인 길로 사람 아히도벨을 초청해 왔는데 그는 압살롬을 지지하고 나섰다. 반역 음모의 세력이 점점 커지자 압살롬을 따르는 자들이 계속 불어났다.”(During the sacrifice, Absalom sent and invited David's advisor, Ahithophel from Gilro, who supported Absalom. Absalom's followers continued to grow as the rebellious conspiracy grew stronger)
‭‭13 “이때 어떤 사람이 다윗에게 와서 “이스라엘 사람들의 마음이 압살롬에게 쏠리고 있습니다” 하고 말해 주었다.”(At this time, someone came to David and said, "The hearts of the Israelites are set against Absalom.")
‭‭14 “그러자 다윗은 자기와 함께 예루살렘에 있는 모든 신하들에게 이렇게 말하였다. “그렇다면 우리는 즉시 도망가야 한다. 그렇지 않으면 우리가 압살롬의 손에 한 사람도 살아 남지 못할 것이다. 자, 빨리 서둘러라! 우물쭈물하다가는 그가 급습하여 우리를 치고 예루살렘 주민을 다 죽이고 말 것이다!””(Then David said to all the officials who were with him in Jerusalem: “Then we must flee immediately. Otherwise, none of us will survive the hand of Absalom. Now, hurry up! If we hesitate, he will come and attack us and kill all the inhabitants of Jerusalem!”)
‭‭15 “그때 그의 신하들은 “왕이 무엇을 하시든지 우리는 왕을 따르겠습니다” 하고 대답하였다.”(Then his servants replied, "We will follow you no matter what you do.")
‭‭16 “그래서 왕은 궁을 지킬 후궁 10명만 남겨 두고 모든 가족과 신하들을 데리고 즉시 성을 떠났다.”(So the king immediately left the castle with all his family and servants, leaving only 10 concubines to guard the palace)
‭‭17-18 “다윗은 성 어귀에 와서 잠시 발길을 멈추고 모든 신하들과 경호병들과 가드에서 그와 함께 온 600명의 군인들을 앞서 가게 하였다.”(When David came to the entrance of the city, he stopped for a moment and sent all his servants and bodyguards and 600 soldiers who had come with him from Gath ahead)
‭‭19-20 “그러나 왕은 가드 사람 잇대를 보더니 이렇게 말하였다. “어째서 네가 우리와 함께 가려고 하느냐? 너는 예루살렘으로 돌아가서 새 왕과 함께 머물러 있거라. 너는 망명해 온 외국인이다. 이제 우리는 어디로 가야 할지도 모르는데 어떻게 내가 어제 온 너에게 우리와 함께 유랑의 길을 떠나자고 할 수 있겠느냐? 그러니 너는 네 동족들을 데리고 돌아가거라. 여호와께서 너에게 은혜 베푸시기를 원한다.””(But when the king saw Ittai the Gittite, he said: “Why do you want to go with us? Go back to Jerusalem and stay with the new king. You are a foreigner in exile. Now we don't even know where to go, so how can I ask you who came yesterday to go on a wandering road with us? So, take your people and go back. May the Lord be gracious to you.”)
‭‭21 “그러나 잇대는 이렇게 대답하였다. “내가 살아 계신 여호와 앞에서 목숨을 걸고 맹세하지만 죽든지 살든지 왕이 가시는 곳이라면 어디든지 따라가겠습니다.””(Ittai, however, replied: “I swear on my life before the living LORD that I will follow you wherever you go, whether I live or die.”)
‭‭22 “그러자 다윗이 “좋다. 우리와 함께 가자” 하였다. 그래서 잇대는 자기를 따라온 사람들과 가족들을 데리고 다윗의 일행과 함께 갔다.”(Then David said, “Okay. Come with us.” So Ittai took the people who had followed him and their families and went with David's men)
‭‭23 “다윗의 일행이 지나갈 때 온 예루살렘 주민이 소리 높여 울었다. 왕도 기드론 시내를 건너가자 그의 일행은 모두 광야로 향하였다.”(As David's men passed by, all the inhabitants of Jerusalem raised their voices and wept. When the king had crossed the Kidron Valley, all his men went into the wilderness)
24 “사독과 그와 함께한 레위 사람들이 하나님의 궤를 메어다가 내려놓고 아비아달도 올라와서 모든 사람이 성에서 다 빠져나올 때까지 기다렸다.”(Zadok and the Levites who were with him took up the ark of God and set it down, and Abiathar went up and waited until everyone was out of the city)
‭‭25 “그때 왕이 사독에게 말하였다. “하나님의 궤를 다시 성으로 메고 가시오. 만일 내가 여호와께 은총을 입는다면 그가 언젠가는 나를 돌아가게 하여 궤와 그의 처소를 다시 볼 수 있도록 하실 것이오.”(Then the king said to Zadok. “Carry the ark of God back to the city. If I find favor with the LORD, he will bring me back one day so that I can see the ark and his dwelling place again)
‭‭26 “그러나 여호와께서 나를 기쁘게 여기시지 않으시면 그가 좋으실 대로 나에게 하도록 하시오.””(But if Jehovah does not please me, let him do to me as he pleases.”)
‭‭27 “그러고서 왕은 사독에게 다시 말하였다. “당신은 선견자가 아니오? 당신의 아들 아히마아스와 아비아달의 아들 요나단을 데리고 평안히 성으로 돌아가시오.”(Then the king spoke again to Zadok. “Are you not a seer? Take your son Ahimaaz and Abiathar's son Jonathan and return to the city in peace)
‭‭28 “내가 요단강 나루터에서 당신의 소식을 기다리겠소. 당신은 내가 광야로 들어가기 전에 예루살렘에서 일어나는 일을 나에게 알려 주시오.””(I look forward to hearing from you at the Jordan River Ferry. You tell me what happens in Jerusalem before I go into the wilderness.”)
‭‭29 “그래서 사독과 아비아달은 하나님의 궤를 예루살렘에 다시 메어다 놓고 그 곳에 머물러 있었다.”(So Zadok and Abiathar took the ark of God back to Jerusalem and stayed there)
‭‭30 “다윗이 슬피 울며 머리를 가리고 맨발로 감람산 길을 올라가자 그와 함께 가는 백성들도 머리를 가리고 울면서 그 길을 올라갔다.”(David wept and covered his head and went up the road to the Mount of Olives barefoot, and the people who were with him covered their heads and went up the road weeping)
‭‭31 “다윗은 자기 자문관이었던 아히도벨이 압살롬의 반역에 가담했다는 말을 듣고 “여호와여, 아히도벨이 압살롬에게 주는 조언이 어리석은 것이 되게 하소서” 하고 기도하였다.”(When David heard that his adviser, Ahithophel, had joined Absalom's rebellion, he prayed, "Lord, let Ahithophel's advice to Absalom be foolish.")
‭‭32 “다윗이 예배처가 있는 감람산 꼭대기에 이르렀을 때 그의 신실한 친구인 아렉 사람 후새가 옷을 찢고 티끌을 머리에 뒤집어쓴 채 그를 기다리고 있었다.”(When David reached the top of the Mount of Olives, where his place of worship was, his faithful friend, Hushai the Archite, was waiting for him with his clothes torn and dust on his head)
‭‭33-34 “이때 다윗이 그에게 말하였다. “자네가 나와 함께 가면 오히려 나에게 짐이 될 걸세. 그러니 자네는 예루살렘으로 돌아가서 압살롬에게 ‘왕이여, 내가 왕의 부친에게 한 것처럼 왕을 충성스럽게 섬기겠습니다’ 하고 말하게. 그러면 아히도벨의 모략을 꺾을 수 있을 것이네. 그것이 자네가 나를 돕는 길일세.”(At this time, David said to him. “If you go with me, you will be a burden to me. So go back to Jerusalem and say to Absalom, ‘King, I will serve you as faithfully as I did for your father.’ Then you will be able to break the plot of Ahithophel. that's how you help me)
‭‭35-36 “제사장 사독과 아비아달도 거기 있네. 자네는 왕궁에서 일어나는 일을 모조리 그들에게 말해 주게. 그러면 그들이 자기들의 아들인 아히마아스와 요나단을 나에게 보내 그 정보를 일러 줄 것이네.””(The priests Zadok and Abiathar are also there. You tell them everything that happens in the palace. Then they will send their sons Ahimaaz and Jonathan to tell me the information)
‭‭37 “그래서 다윗의 친구인 후새는 그 곳을 떠나 예루살렘으로 돌아갔는데 그때 압살롬도 성으로 들어가고 있었다.”(So Hushai, David's friend, left and returned to Jerusalem, while Absalom was also entering the city.)
