1 “야곱의 열두 아들은 르우벤, 시므온, 레위, 유다, 잇사갈, 스불론,”The twelve sons of Jacob were Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun,
‭‭2 “단, 요셉, 베냐민, 납달리, 갓, 아셀이었다.”Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher
‭‭3 “유다의 아들은 엘, 오난, 셀라였으며 이들은 가나안 사람 수아의 딸에게서 난 자들이었다. 그러나 맏아들 엘은 사람이 너무 악하였기 때문에 여호와께서 그를 죽이셨다.”The sons of Judah were Er, Onan, and Shelah; these were the daughters of Shua the Canaanite. But the eldest son, Er, was so wicked that the Lord killed him
‭‭4 “그리고 유다의 며느리 다말이 유다를 통해서 베레스와 세라를 낳았으므로 유다에게는 아들이 모두 다섯이었다.”And Tamar, Judah's daughter-in-law, bore Perez and Zerah by Judah; Judah had five sons in all
‭‭5 “베레스의 아들은 헤스론과 하물이며”The sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul
‭‭6 “세라의 아들은 시므리, 에단, 헤만, 갈골, 다라 모두 다섯 사람이었다.”Zerah had five sons: Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and Dara
‭‭7 “그리고 갈미의 아들은 아간이었는데 그는 아주 없애 버려야 할 전리품을 감추어 두었다가 이스라엘 백성에게 재앙을 불러일으킨 자였다.”And the son of Carmi was Achan, who brought calamity upon the people of Israel by hiding spoils that were very much to be destroyed
‭‭8 “그리고 에단의 아들은 아사랴였다.”And Ethan's son was Azariah
‭‭9 “헤스론의 아들은 여라므엘, 람, 글루배였으며”The sons of Hezron were Jerahmeel, Ram, and Cheubai
‭‭10 “람은 암미나답의 아버지였고 암미나답은 유다 지파의 지도자인 나손의 아버지였다.”Ram was the father of Amminadab, and Amminadab was the father of Nahshon, leader of the tribe of Judah
‭‭11 “나손은 살마를 낳았고 살마는 보아스를,”Nahshon fathered Salma, and Salma bore Boaz
‭‭12 “보아스는 오벳을, 오벳은 이새를 낳았다.”Boaz fathered Obed, and Obed fathered Jesse

‭‭18 “헤스론의 아들 갈렙에게는 아수바와 여리옷이라는 두 아내가 있었으며 아수바가 낳은 아들은 예셀과 소밥과 아르돈이었다.”Hezron's son Caleb had two wives, Azubah and Jerioth, and the sons of Azubah were Jezer, Shobab, and Ardon
‭‭19 “그리고 아수바가 죽은 다음에 갈렙은 에브랏과 결혼하였다. 에브랏은 그를 통해 훌이라는 아들을 낳았고”And after the death of Azubah, Caleb married Ephrath. Ephrath bore him a son named Hur
‭‭20 “또 훌은 우리를 낳았으며 우리는 브사렐을 낳았다.”And Hur begat us, and we begat Bezalel.
‭‭21 “헤스론은 60세가 되었을 때 길르앗의 아버지인 마길의 딸과 결혼하여 스굽을 낳았고”When Hezron was 60 years old, he married the daughter of Machir, the father of Gilead, and gave birth to Segub
‭‭22 “스굽은 야일을 낳았으며 야일은 길르앗 땅에서 23개의 성을 다스렸다.”Segub fathered Jair, who ruled over 23 cities in the land of Gilead
‭‭23 “그러나 그술과 아람이 그에게서 이 성들을 빼앗고 또 그낫과 그 주변 일대의 60개 부락을 빼앗았다. 이들은 모두 길르앗의 아버지인 마길의 후손들이었다.”But Geshur and Aram took these cities from him, and Kenath and 60 villages around it. These were all descendants of Machir, the father of Gilead
‭‭24 “헤스론이 죽은 다음에 그의 아들 갈렙이 자기 아버지의 아내였던 에브라다와 결혼하자 에브라다가 아스훌을 낳았으며 그는 후에 드고아의 창설자가 되었다.”After the death of Hezron, his son Caleb married Ephrathah, his father's wife, and Ephratha gave birth to Ashhur, who later became the founder of Tekoa

‭‭29 “아비술은 아비하일과 결혼하였으며 그들 사이에는 아반과 몰릿이라는 아들이 태어났다.”Abishur married Abihail, and they had two sons, Avan and Molit
‭‭30 “나답의 아들은 셀렛과 압바임이었다. 셀렛은 아들 없이 죽었으나”The sons of Nadab were Shelet and Appaim. Sellet died without a son
‭‭31 “압바임에게는 이시라는 아들 하나가 있었다. 그리고 이시의 아들은 세산이며 세산의 아들은 알래였다.”Abbaim had a son named Isi. And the son of Ishi was Sheshan, and the son of Sheshan was Alai
‭‭32 “삼매의 동생 야다에게는 예델과 요나단이라는 두 아들이 있었다. 예델은 자식 없이 죽었으나”Shammai's younger brother, Yada, had two sons, Jether and Jonathan. Yedel died without children,
‭‭33 “요나단에게는 벨렛과 사사라는 두 아들이 있었다.”Jonathan had two sons, Peleth and Sasa
‭‭34-36 “그리고 세산에게는 아들이 없고 딸들 만 있었는데 그는 딸 하나를 이집트 사람인 자기 종 야르하에게 주어 아내로 삼게 했으며 그들은 앗대라는 아들을 낳았다.”And Sheshan had no sons, but only daughters, and he gave one of the daughters to his servant Yarha, an Egyptian, to wife, and they bore a son named Attai
‭‭37 “사밧은 에블랄을, 에블랄은 오벳을,”Shabat had Eblel, Eblel had Obed,
‭‭38 “오벳은 예후를, 예후는 아사랴를,”Obed had Jehu, Jehu had Azariah,

‭‭40 “엘르아사는 시스매를, 시스매는 살룸을,”Eleazar had Sismae, Sismae had Shallum,
‭‭41 “살룸은 여가먀를, 여가먀는 엘리사마를 낳았다.”Shallum gave birth to Jemya, and Jemya gave birth to Elishama
‭‭42 “여라므엘의 동생인 갈렙의 맏아들은 메사였으며 그는 십을 낳았고 십은 마레사를, 마레사는 헤브론을 낳았다.”The firstborn of Caleb, the brother of Jerahmeel, was Mesha, who fathered Ten, and Mareshah, who fathered Hebron

‭‭46 “갈렙의 첩인 에바는 하란, 모사, 가세스를 낳았으며 하란에게도 가세스란 아들이 있었다.”Ephah, Caleb's concubine, bore Haran, Mosah, and Gazesh, and Haran also had a son named Gazez
‭‭47 “야대의 아들은 레겜, 요담, 게산, 벨렛, 에바, 그리고 사압이었다.”The sons of Jadai were Rechem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah, and Shaab
‭‭48 “갈렙의 또 다른 첩인 마아가는 세벨, 디르하나,”Another of Caleb's concubines, Maacah, was Seber, Dirhana,

‭‭52 “기럇 – 여아림의 창설자인 소발은 하로에 사람들과 므누홋 주민 절반의 조상이 되었다.”Zophar, founder of Kiriath-Jearim, became the ancestor of Haroe and half of the inhabitants of Mnuhud
‭‭53 “그리고 기럇 – 여아림에 살던 씨족들은 이델파, 붓파, 수맛파, 미스라파였는데 이들 씨족에서 소라와 에스다올의 두 집안이 나왔다.”And the clans that lived in Kiriath-Je'arim were the Ithelpa, the Butppa, the Sumapa, and the Misrapha; from these clans came the two families of Zorah and Eshtaol
‭‭54 “베들레헴의 창설자인 살마는 느도바 사람, 아다롯 – 벧 – 요압 사람, 마나핫 사람의 절반, 소라 사람들의 조상이었다.”Salma, the founder of Bethlehem, was the ancestor of the Netophathites, the Ataroth--Beth-Joabites, half the Manahathites, and the Zorahites
‭‭55 “그리고 야베스에 사는 서기관의 일족은 디랏 사람, 시므앗 사람, 수갓 사람들이었으며 이들은 모두 레갑 가문의 조상인 함맛에게서 나온 겐 씨족이었다.”And the clans of the scribes who lived in Jabesh were the Tiratites, the Shimeathites, and the Sugathites;
