[현대인성경 KLB 구약 욥기 18장] 빌닷 : Bildad

1 “그때 수아 사람 빌닷이 말하였다.”Then Bildad the Shuhite said,
‭‭2 ““네가 언제나 말문을 닫겠느냐? 좀더 지각 있는 말을 하여라. 그러면 우리가 대답하겠다.”Will you always be silent? Speak more wisely. Then we will answer
‭‭3 “네가 무엇 때문에 우리를 짐승처럼 어리석게 여기느냐?”Why do you think we are foolish, like beasts?
‭‭4 “네가 분을 못 이겨 네 옷을 찢는다고 해서 이것이 땅을 흔들어 바위를 그 자리에서 옮기겠느냐?”If you tear your clothes in anger, will it shake the earth and move the rock from its place?
‭‭5 ““악인의 빛은 꺼지고 그 불꽃은 타오르지 않을 것이며”The light of the wicked will be extinguished and his flame will not burn
‭‭6 “그의 집안에는 등불이 꺼지고 온통 어두움만 있을 것이다.”The lamp will go out in his house and there will be darkness everywhere
‭‭7 “악인은 힘찬 걸음걸이도 맥이 풀리고 자기가 꾸민 꾀에 자기가 빠질 것이며”The wicked man's powerful steps will become tiresome, and he will fall for the schemes he has devised
‭‭8 “그는 제발로 그물에 들어가 발이 걸리고”He entered the net and got caught
‭‭9 “발뒤꿈치가 덫에 치여 잡힐 것이다.”Your heel will be caught in a trap
‭‭10 “땅에는 그를 잡아 묶을 올가미가 숨겨져 있으며 그의 길에는 함정이 기다리고 있고”There are nooses hidden in the ground to bind him, traps await in his path
‭‭11 “무서운 일들이 사방에서 그를 놀라게 하며 그림자처럼 그를 따라다닐 것이다.”Terrible things will frighten him from all directions and follow him like a shadow
‭‭12 ““악인은 굶주림에 시달려 그 힘이 빠지고 재앙이 그 곁에서 기다릴 것이며”The wicked will suffer from hunger and his strength will be lost, and disaster will await him by his side
‭‭13 “질병이 그의 피부를 좀먹고 그의 팔다리를 삼킬 것이다.”Disease will eat away at his skin and devour his limbs
‭‭14 “그는 안전하게 살던 자기 집에서 뽑혀 무서운 죽음의 사자에게 끌려갈 것이니”He will be plucked from his safe home and carried away by the terrible angel of death
‭‭15 “그 집은 유황을 뿌려 소독을 한 다음에 다른 사람이 살게 될 것이며”The house will be disinfected by sprinkling sulfur and then someone else will live in it
‭‭16 “아래에서는 그의 뿌리가 마르고 위에서는 그의 가지가 시들 것이다.”His roots will dry up below, and his branches will wither above
‭‭17 “그에 대한 모든 기억은 땅에서 사라질 것이며 그의 이름을 기억하는 자가 아무도 없을 것이다.”All memory of him will disappear from the earth, and no one will remember his name
‭‭18 “그는 세상에서 추방되어 빛의 세계에서 흑암의 세계로 쫓겨갈 것이며”He will be banished from the world and driven from the world of light to the world of darkness
‭‭19 “그에게는 유가족도 없고 후손도 없을 것이다.”He will have no surviving family or descendants
‭‭20 “동서 사방에서 그의 소식을 듣는 사람들이 다 무서워서 떨며 놀랄 것이니”All who hear of him from the east and the west will be terrified and startled
‭‭21 “이것이 바로 하나님을 알지 못하는 자들의 운명이다.””This is the fate of those who do not know God
