1 “이것은 두로에 대한 말씀이다: 다시스의 배들아, 통곡하라. 두로가 망 하여 집도 없고 항구도 없이 황폐해졌으니 너희가 키프러스에서 들은 소문이 다 사실이다. This is a word about Tyre: Howl, you ships of Tarshish! All the reports you heard in Cyprus are true, for Tyre has fallen and is left desolate, without houses or ports
2 “해변의 주민들아, 시돈의 상인들아, 잠잠하라.”Be quiet, you inhabitants of the seashore, you merchants of Sidon!
‭‭3 “너희가 바다로 이집트 상품을 실어 나르며 세계의 시장 노릇을 해 왔다.”You have served as a market for the world, transporting Egyptian goods by sea
‭‭4 “시돈아, 너는 부끄러워하여라. 바다가 너를 버리며 이렇게 말한다. “나는 아이를 가져 본 적이 없으며 아들이나 딸을 길러 본 일도 없다.””Sidon, be ashamed of yourself. The sea abandons you and says: “I have never had a child or raised a son or daughter
‭‭5 “두로가 망했다는 소식을 들으면 이집트 사람들도 몹시 충격을 받고 놀랄 것이다.”The people of Egypt will be very shocked and surprised when they hear the news of Tyre's fall
‭‭6 “해변의 주민들아, 너희는 슬피 울며 스페인으로 도망하라.”O inhabitants of the seashore, weep and flee to Spain
‭‭7 “이것이 고대에 건설된 화려한 너희 도시냐? 이것이 먼 나라까지 가서 식민지를 개척한 도시란 말이냐?”Is this your splendid city built in ancient times? Are you saying this is a city that went to a distant country and pioneered a colony?
‭‭8 “많은 식민지를 다스리며 세계 무역의 중심지인 두로에 누가 이런 재앙을 내렸는가?”Who brought this disaster to Tyre, which ruled many colonies and was the center of world trade?
‭‭9 “전능하신 여호와께서 그렇게 하셨으니 그들의 교만을 꺾고 세상의 존귀한 자들을 낮추기 위해서였다.”The Almighty Jehovah did this to break their pride and humble the nobles of the world
‭‭10 “다시스의 배들아, 항해를 계속하라. 너희가 정박할 항구가 없어졌다.”Ships of Tarshish, sail on. There is no more port for you to anchor
‭‭11 “여호와께서 바다 위에 손을 펴셔서 세상 나라들을 흔드시며 페니키아의 요새를 파괴하라는 명령을 내리시고”The LORD stretched out his hand over the sea, shook the kingdoms of the world, and gave orders to destroy the Phoenician strongholds
‭‭12 “이렇게 말씀하셨다. “가련한 시돈아, 너의 즐거운 시절은 끝났다. 너의 주민들이 키프러스로 도망갈지라도 거기서 안전하지 못할 것이다.””He said this. “Poor Sidon, your happy days are over. Even if your people flee to Cyprus, they will not be safe there
‭‭13 “들짐승으로 두로를 짓밟게 한 것은 앗시리아 사람이 아니라 바빌로니아 사람이었다. 그들이 두로를 포위하고 그 궁전을 헐어 폐허가 되게 하였다.”It was not the Assyrians but the Babylonians who caused Tyre to be trampled by wild animals. They besieged Tyre and destroyed its palace, leaving it in ruins

‭‭16 ““잊혀진 기생아, 수금을 가지고 성 안을 돌아다녀라. 훌륭하게 연주하고 많은 노래를 불러 사람들이 다시 너를 기억하게 하라.””Forgotten courtesan, take your lyre and wander around the castle. Play well and sing many songs so that people will remember you again
‭‭17 “그 70년이 지나면 여호와께서 두로를 다시 일으켜 이전처럼 무역을 하게 하실 것이나 두로는 온 세계와 음란을 행할 것이다.”At the end of the 70 years, the Lord will restore Tyre to trade as before, but she will commit whoredom with the whole world
‭‭18 “그러나 두로가 무역하여 번 돈은 쌓이지 않고 여호와께 바쳐질 것이며 여호와를 섬기는 자들이 식량과 의복을 사는 데 그 돈을 사용할 날이 있을 것이다.”But the money that Tyre earns from its trade will not be stored up, but will be dedicated to Jehovah, and there will be a day when those who serve Jehovah will use it to buy food and clothing
