[현대인성경 KLB 구약 열욍기상 6장] 솔로몬의 성전 건축 : Building Solomon's Temple

1 “이스라엘 백성이 이집트에서 나온 지 480년이 지나고 솔로몬이 왕이 된 지 4년째가 되는 해 2월에 성전 건축 공사를 시작하였다.”(Construction of the temple began in February of the year 480 years after the Israelites came out of Egypt and the fourth year of Solomon's reign as king)
‭‭2 “성전 규모는 길이가 27미터, 폭이 9미터, 높이가 13.5미터였으며”(The size of the temple was 27 meters long, 9 meters wide and 13.5 meters high)
‭‭3 “성전 앞의 현관 폭은 9미터이고 그 길이는 4.5미터였다.”(The porch in front of the temple was 9 meters wide and 4.5 meters long)
‭‭4 “그리고 성전 벽에는 바깥이 안쪽보다 좁은 환기창들을 내었으며”(And in the walls of the temple there were ventilation windows that were narrower on the outside than on the inside)
‭‭5 “성전 옆면과 뒷면에 붙여서 3층 별관을 지었다.”(Attached to the side and back of the temple, a three-story annex was built)
‭‭6 “별관 층에 있는 방의 폭은 약 2.3미터, 2층 방의 폭은 2.7미터, 3층 방의 폭은 약 3.2미터였다. 그리고 별관의 들보가 성전 안으로 들어가지 않고 턱에 얹힐 수 있도록 성전 외벽을 층이 지도록 쌓았다.”(The width of the room on the annex floor was about 2.3 meters, the width of the room on the second floor was about 2.7 meters, and the width of the room on the third floor was about 3.2 meters. And the outer wall of the temple was built in layers so that the beams of the annex could rest on the chin without going inside the temple)
‭‭7 “이 성전을 건축할 때는 채석장에서 완전히 다듬은 돌을 사용했기 때문에 건축하는 동안에 망치나 도끼나 철 연장 소리가 들리지 않았다.”(The temple was built with stones completely hewn from the quarry, so no hammers, axes, or iron tools were heard during construction)
‭‭8 “별관 층의 출입문은 성전 남쪽으로 만들었으며 거기서 2층으로 올라가는 나사 모양의 층계를 만들고 또 2층에서 3층으로 올라가는 층계를 만들었다.”(The entrance door to the annex floor was made to the south side of the temple, and from there a screw-shaped staircase was built to go up to the second floor, and a staircase to go up from the second to the third floor was made)
‭‭9 “이렇게 해서 솔로몬은 성전 외부 공사를 마치고 서까래와 백향목으로 지붕을 만들어 덮었다.”(In this way, Solomon completed the exterior work of the temple and made a roof with rafters and cedar)
‭‭10 “그리고 그 3층 별관의 들보는 백향목으로 만들었으며 각 방의 높이는 약 2.3미터였다.”(And the beams of the three-story annex were made of cedar, and each room was about 2.3 meters high)
‭‭11 “그때 여호와께서는 성전을 건축하는 솔로몬에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다.”(At that time, the Lord said to Solomon, who was building the temple,)
‭‭12 ““네가 만일 내 명령에 순종하고 나의 모든 법과 규정을 지키면 내가 너의 아버지 다윗에게 약속한 것을 이행할 것이다.”(“If you obey my commands and keep all my laws and regulations, I will fulfill the promise I made to David your father)
‭‭13 “그리고 내가 이스라엘 백성 가운데 살 것이며 그들을 버리지 않을 것이다.””(And I will dwell among the people of Israel, and I will not forsake them.”)
‭‭14 “솔로몬은 성전 외부 공사를 마친 다음에”(After Solomon finished the work on the outside of the temple,)
‭‭15 “내부 벽을 백향목으로 입히고 마룻바닥은 잣나무로 만들었으며”(The interior walls were covered with cedar wood, and the floors were made of cypress wood)
‭‭16 “성전 뒷벽에서 9미터 떨어진 곳에 바닥에서 천정까지 백향목 널판으로 가로막아 지성소를 만들었다.”(A sanctuary was built nine meters from the back wall of the temple, with cedar boards covering it from floor to ceiling)
17 “그리고 지성소 앞에 있는 성소의 길이는 18미터이며”(And the sanctuary in front of the Holy of Holies was 18 meters long)
‭‭18 “또 성전 내부 벽에 입힌 백향목 널판에는 조롱박과 활짝 핀 꽃들을 아로새겼는데 성전 내부 벽이 온통 백향목으로 둘러싸여 돌은 하나도 보이지 않았다.”(Also, gourds and flowers in full bloom were carved on the cedar boards that were clad on the inner walls of the temple)
‭‭19 “여호와의 법궤를 두기 위해 성전 안에 지성소를 만들었다.”(He made a holy of holies in the temple to place the ark of the Lord)
‭‭20 “그 길이와 폭과 높이는 각각 9미터였으며 지성소 내부는 온통 순금으로 입히고 그 안에 백향목 단도 만들어 놓았다.”(It was nine meters long, wide, and high, and the inside of the Holy of Holies was overlaid with pure gold, and a cedar altar was also made inside it)
‭‭21 “또 솔로몬은 성소 내부를 순금으로 입히고 지성소 앞에 금사슬을 쳐놓았다.”(Solomon also overlaid the interior of the sanctuary with pure gold and placed a golden chain in front of the most holy place)
‭‭22 “이렇게 해서 솔로몬은 성전 내부를 모두 금으로 입히고 또 지성소 안에 있는 단에도 금을 입혔다.”(In this way, Solomon overlaid the inside of the temple with gold and overlaid the altar in the Holy of Holies with gold)
‭‭23 “지성소 안에는 감람나무로 두 그룹 천사를 만들어 놓았는데 그 높이는 각각 4.5미터씩이었으며”(In the Holy of Holies, two cherubim were made of olive wood, each 4.5 meters high)
‭‭24-26 “둘 다 크기와 모양이 같고 각각 약 2.3미터 길이의 두 날개를 가졌으며 한쪽 날개 끝에서부터 다른 쪽 날개 끝까지의 길이는 4.5미터였다.”(Both were of the same size and shape and had two wings, each about 2.3 meters long, measuring 4.5 meters from the tip of one wing to the tip of the other)
‭‭27 “그리고 그 그룹들은 날개를 펴 서로 맞닿게 했는데 바깥 날개는 양쪽 벽에 닿았고 안쪽 날개는 지성소 중앙에서 서로 맞닿았다.”(And the cherubim spread their wings and made them touch each other, the outer wings touching the walls on either side, and the inner wings touching each other in the center of the Holy of Holies)
‭‭28 “솔로몬은 그 그룹들도 역시 금으로 입혔다.”(Solomon overlaid the cherubs with gold too)
‭‭29 “성소와 지성소의 사면 벽에는 그룹 천사와 종려나무와 활짝 핀 꽃을 아로새겼으며”(Cherubim, palm trees, and flowers in full bloom were engraved on the walls of the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place)
‭‭30 “성전의 모든 마룻바닥은 금으로 입혔다.”(All the floors in the temple were overlaid with gold)
‭‭31 “지성소 출입구에는 오각형의 문틀 안에 감람나무로 두 개의 문을 만들었으며”(At the entrance to the Holy of Holies, two gates were made of olive wood inside the pentagonal frame)
‭‭32 “그 두 문짝에는 그룹 천사와 종려나무와 활짝 핀 꽃을 아로새기고 그룹 천사와 종려나무에는 금을 입혔다.”(He carved cherubim, palm trees, and flowers in full bloom on the two doors, and overlaid the cherub angels and palm trees with gold)
‭‭33 “성전 출입구에는 감람나무로 사각형의 문틀을 만들고”(At the entrance to the temple, a square door frame was made of olive wood)
‭‭34 “잣나무로 두 문짝을 만들어 세웠으며 문마다 각각 두 쪽으로 접을 수 있게 하였다.”(Two doors were made of cypress wood, and each door could be folded in two)
‭‭35 “그리고 이 문짝에도 그룹 천사와 종려나무와 활짝 핀 꽃을 아로새기고 그 위에 정교하게 금을 입혔다.”(He also carved cherub angels, palm trees, and flowers in full bloom on the door, and overlaid them with fine gold)
‭‭36 “또 성전 안뜰은 다듬은 돌을 세 층으로 쌓고 그 위에 백향목 판자 한 층을 얹은 간막이로 만들었다.”(The courtyard of the temple was also made of three layers of hewn stones, with a layer of cedar boards on top)
‭‭37-38 “솔로몬왕 4년 2월에 성전 기초를 놓았고 11년 8월에 설계대로 성전이 준공되었으며 솔로몬이 성전을 짓는 데 소요된 총 공사 기간은 7년 6개월이었다.”(The temple foundation was laid in February of the 4th year of King Solomon, and the temple was completed according to the design in August of the 11th year. The total construction period required by Solomon to build the temple was 7 years and 6 months)
