[현대인성경 KLB 구약 잠언 8장] 지혜의 호소 Appeal to Wisdom

1 “지혜가 부르지 않느냐? 총명이 소리를 높이지 않느냐?”Does not wisdom call? Does not intelligence raise its voice?
‭‭2 “지혜가 길가의 언덕과 사거리와”Wisdom is on the roadside hills and crossroads,
‭‭3 “성문 입구와 여러 출입문 곁에 서서 이렇게 외친다.”Stand near the entrance to the city gate and the various entrances and shout:
‭‭4 ““사람들아, 내가 너희를 부르며 온 인류에게 외쳐 말한다.”People, I call you and cry out to all mankind
‭‭5 “어리석은 자들아, 너희는 분별력을 얻어라. 미련한 자들아, 너희는 사리에 밝은 자가 되어라.”Get discernment, you fools. You fools, be ye wise
‭‭6 “너희는 내 말을 들어라. 내가 아주 중요한 것을 너희에게 말하겠다. 내가 하는 말은 다 옳은 것이다.”You listen to me. I will tell you something very important. Everything I say is right
‭‭7 “내가 진실을 말하는 것은 내 입술이 악을 미워하기 때문이다.”I speak the truth because my lips hate evil
‭‭8 “내 말은 건전하고 참되며 하나도 잘못되었거나 악한 것이 없다.”My words are sound and true, and there is nothing wrong or evil in them
‭‭9 “내 말은 어느 정도의 분별력이나 지식을 가진 자라면 누구나 다 밝히 알 수 있는 평범한 것이다.”What I mean is plain and clear to anyone with a certain level of discernment or knowledge
‭‭10 “너희는 은보다 내 교훈을, 정금보다 지식을 택하라.”Choose my doctrine rather than silver, and knowledge rather than gold
‭‭11 “지혜는 진주보다 낫고 세상의 그 어떤 것과도 비교가 안 된다.”Wisdom is better than pearls and nothing in the world can compare
‭‭12 ““나는 지혜이다. 나에게는 총명도 있고 지식과 분별력도 있다.”I am wisdom. I have intelligence, knowledge, and discernment
‭‭13 “여호와를 두려워하는 것이 악을 미워하는 것이다. 나는 교만과 거만과 악한 행실과 거짓된 입술을 미워한다.”To fear the Lord is to hate evil. I hate pride, haughtiness, evil ways, and lying lips
‭‭14 “나에게는 조언할 말과 건전한 지식이 있으며 통찰력과 능력도 있다.”I have words of advice, sound knowledge, insight and ability
‭‭15 “나를 통해서 왕들이 세상을 다스리고 통치자들이 의로운 법을 만들며”Through me, kings will rule the world and rulers will make righteous laws
‭‭16 “나를 통해서 군주들과 귀족들이 세상을 다스린다.”Through me, monarchs and nobles rule the world
‭‭17 “나를 사랑하는 자가 나의 사랑을 받을 것이며 나를 간절히 찾는 자가 나를 만날 것이다.”Those who love me will be loved by me, and those who seek me earnestly will find me
‭‭18 “내게는 부귀도 있고 번영과 성공도 있다.”I have wealth, prosperity and success
‭‭19 “내가 주는 것은 순금이나 순은보다 낫다.”What I give is better than pure gold or silver
‭‭20 “나는 의로운 길을 걸으며 공정한 길을 따르고”I walk in righteous ways, I follow fair paths
‭‭21 “나를 사랑하는 자들에게 재물을 주어 그들의 창고가 차고 넘치게 할 것이다.”I will give wealth to those who love me, so that their storehouses will overflow
‭‭22 ““여호와께서 우주를 창조하실 때 그 무엇보다 나를 먼저 만드셨으므로”When the Lord created the universe, he made me before anything else
‭‭23 “나는 세상이 창조되기 전에 처음부터 있었다.”I was from the beginning before the world was created
‭‭24 “그 때는 아직 바다도 생기지 않았으며 큰 샘들도 없었다.”At that time there were no seas yet and no great springs
‭‭25 “산과 언덕이 생기기 전에 내가 태어났으니”I was born before the mountains and hills were formed
‭‭26 “하나님이 아직 땅과 들과 티끌의 분자도 만들지 않았을 때이다.”This was when God had not yet created the earth, the fields, and even the particles of dust
‭‭27 “그가 하늘을 만드시고 바다 표면에 수평선을 그으실 때에 내가 거기 있었으며”I was there when he made the heavens and drew the horizon on the surface of the sea
‭‭28 “그가 하늘에 구름을 만드시고 바다의 샘들을 여시며”He formed the clouds in the sky and opened the springs of the sea
‭‭29 “바닷물을 명령하여 그가 정한 한계를 넘지 못하게 하시고 또 땅의 기초를 놓으실 때에도 내가 거기 있었다.”I was there when he ordered the waters to not exceed the limits he had set and when he laid the foundations of the earth
‭‭30 “그때 나는 그의 곁에서 기능공 노릇을 하였으며 날마다 그의 기쁨이 되었고 언제나 그 앞에서 즐거워하였으며”At that time, I served as a craftsman by his side, became his joy every day, and was always happy in front of him
‭‭31 “그가 만든 세상을 보고 즐거워하고 그가 창조하신 인류를 보고 기뻐하였다.”He rejoiced over the world he had created and rejoiced over the human race he had created
‭‭32 ““청년들아, 이제 내 말을 들어라. 나의 가르침을 좇는 자들이 복이 있다.”Young men, listen to me now. Blessed are those who follow my teachings
‭‭33 “나의 교훈을 듣고 지혜를 얻어라. 그것을 버리지 말아라.”Listen to my teachings and gain wisdom. don't throw it away
‭‭34 “누구든지 내 말을 듣고 날마다 문 앞에서 나를 찾으며 문 밖에서 나를 기다리는 자는 복이 있다.”Blessed is everyone who listens to me and seeks me every day at the door and waits for me outside the door
‭‭35 “이것은 나를 얻는 자가 생명을 얻고 여호와께 은총을 받을 것이기 때문이다.”For whoever finds me will find life and find favor with the LORD
‭‭36 “그러나 나를 얻지 못하는 자는 자기 자신을 해치는 자이며 나를 미워하는 자는 죽음을 사랑하는 자이다.””But he who does not have me harms himself, and he who hates me loves death
‭‭
