[현대인성경 KLB 구약 잠언 6장] 어리석음에 대한 경고 warning against foolishness

1 “내 아들아, 네가 만일 이웃을 위해 담보물을 잡히고 다른 사람의 빚 보증을 섰 다가”My son, if you take collateral for your neighbor and guarantee someone else's debt,
‭‭2 “네가 한 말로 함정에 빠졌으면”If you fall into a trap with what you said
‭‭3 “이것은 네가 네 이웃에게 걸려든 것이니 너는 이렇게 하여라: 그에게 속히 가서 겸손한 태도로 네가 보증 선 것을 취소시켜 달라고 부탁하여 가능한 한 거기서 빠져나오도록 하라.”This is your neighbor's trap, so do this: Go to him quickly and humbly ask him to revoke your pledge, so that you can get out of it if possible
‭‭4 “너는 그 일을 미루지 말며 그 문제를 해결할 때까지 잠을 자거나 긴장을 풀지 말고”Do not postpone the task and do not sleep or relax until you have solved the problem
‭‭5 “노루가 사냥꾼의 손에서, 새가 그물을 치는 자의 손에서 벗어나는 것처럼 그 함정에서 빠져나오도록 하라.”Let him escape from the trap, just as a roe deer escapes from the hand of a hunter, and a bird escapes from the hand of a netter
‭‭6 “게으른 자여, 개미에게 가서 그 하는 일을 보고 지혜를 얻어라.”You lazy one, go to the ant, see what it does, and gain wisdom
‭‭7 “개미는 두목이나 지도자나 감독관이 없어도”Ants do not have a boss, leader, or supervisor
‭‭8 “여름 동안에 부지런히 일하여 추수 때에 겨울철에 먹을 양식을 모은다.”They work diligently during the summer to gather food for the winter at harvest time
‭‭9 “게으른 자여, 네가 언제까지 누워 있을 작정이냐? 언제나 네가 깨어서 일어나겠느냐?”Lazy one, how long do you plan to lie down? Will you ever wake up and rise up?
‭‭10 ““좀더 자자. 좀더 졸자. 손을 모으고 좀더 쉬자” 하면”Let's sleep more. Let's sleep some more. “Let’s put our hands together and rest some more.”
‭‭11 “네가 자는 동안에 가난이 강도같이 너에게 찾아들 것이다.”While you sleep, poverty will come upon you like a robber
‭‭12 “불량하고 악한 자는 거짓말만 하고 돌아다니며”Bad and evil people go around telling lies
‭‭13 “남을 속이려고 눈짓, 손짓, 발짓을 하고”Making eye movements, hand gestures, and foot gestures to deceive others
‭‭14 “그 마음은 비뚤어지고 잘못되어 항상 악한 음모를 꾸미며 어디를 가나 말썽만 일으킨다.”His mind is crooked and wrong, always plotting evil and causing trouble wherever he goes
‭‭15 “그래서 이런 자는 재난이 갑자기 밀어닥치면 피하지 못하고 망하고 말 것이다.”So, if a disaster suddenly strikes people like this, they will not be able to escape and will perish
‭‭16 “여호와께서 미워하고 싫어하는 것이 일곱 가지가 있는데 그것은”There are seven things the Lord hates and detests:
‭‭17 “교만한 눈과, 거짓말하는 혀와, 죄 없는 자를 죽이는 손과,”haughty eyes, lying tongues, hands that kill the innocent,
‭‭18 “악한 계획을 세우는 마음과, 악을 행하려고 빨리 달려가는 발과,”A heart that plots evil, feet that rush to do evil,
‭‭19 “거짓말을 토하는 거짓 증인과, 형제 사이를 이간하는 자이다.”A false witness who spews out lies, and a man who spreads discord among brothers
‭‭20 “내 아들아, 네 아버지의 명령을 지키며 네 어머니의 가르침을 저버리지 말고”My son, keep your father’s commands and do not forsake your mother’s teachings
‭‭21 “그 말을 항상 네 마음에 새기고 깊이 간직하라.”Always engrave those words in your heart and keep them deep in your heart
‭‭22 “그것은 네가 다닐 때에 너를 인도하며 밤에는 너를 보호하고 낮에는 너에게 조언을 해 줄 것이다.”It will guide you as you walk, protect you by night, and advise you by day
‭‭23 “네 부모의 명령은 등불이며 그 가르침은 빛이요 교육적인 책망은 생명의 길이다.”Your parents' commands are a lamp, their teachings are light, and their educational reproofs are the way of life
‭‭24 “이것이 너를 지켜 음란한 여자들의 유혹에 빠지지 않게 할 것이다.”This will keep you from falling into the temptations of sexually immoral women
‭‭25 “너는 그들의 아름다움을 보고 색욕을 품지 말며 그들의 눈짓에 홀리지 말아라.”Do not be lustful when you see their beauty, and do not be charmed by their glances
‭‭26 “음란한 여자는 사람의 재산뿐 아니라 사람의 귀중한 생명까지 도둑질해 간다.”An adulterous woman steals not only a person's property but also his precious life
‭‭27 “사람이 옷을 태우지 않고 어떻게 불을 품에 품고 다니겠으며”How can a man carry fire in his bosom without burning his clothes
‭‭28 “발을 데지 않고 어떻게 숯불을 밟겠느냐?”How can you step on charcoal fire without getting your feet burned?
‭‭29 “이와 마찬가지로 남의 아내와 잠을 자는 것도 위험한 일이다. 그러므로 누구든지 남의 아내를 만지는 자는 벌을 면치 못할 것이다.”Likewise, sleeping with someone else's wife is dangerous. Therefore, whoever touches another man's wife will not go unpunished
‭‭30 “도둑이 배가 고파 굶주린 배를 채우려고 도둑질하면 사람들이 그를 멸시하지는 않을 것이다.”If a thief is hungry and steals to satisfy his hunger, people will not despise him
‭‭31 “하지만 그가 들키면 칠 배를 갚아야 하며 갚을 돈이 없을 때는 자기 집 재산을 다 털어서라도 갚아야 한다.”However, if he is caught, he must repay seven times as much, and if he has no money to repay, he must repay even if it means wiping out all of his household property
‭‭32 “그러나 간음하는 자는 지각이 없는 자이다. 그는 자신을 망치고 있을 뿐만 아니라”But he who commits adultery lacks understanding. Not only is he ruining himself;
‭‭33 “얻어 맞아 상처를 입고 모욕을 당하며 언제나 부끄러움을 씻을 수 없을 것이다.”You will be beaten, hurt, and humiliated, and you will never be able to wash away the shame
‭‭34 “그 남편이 질투함으로 분노하여 복수하는 날에는 그가 용서받지 못할 것이며”When her husband becomes angry with jealousy and takes revenge, she will not be forgiven
‭‭35 “아무리 많은 위자료나 선물을 준다고 해도 그가 받지 않을 것이다.”No matter how much alimony or gifts you give him, he won't take it
