1 “여호와께서 말씀하신다. “하늘은 내 보좌이며 땅은 내 발판이다. 너희가 나를 위해 무슨 집을 지을 수 있겠느냐? 어느 곳이 내 안식처가 되겠느냐?”Jehovah says: “Heaven is my throne and the earth is my footstool. What house can you build for me? Which place will be my resting place?
‭‭2 “내가 우주를 창조하였으므로 이 모든 것이 생기게 되었다. “나는 겸손한 마음으로 크게 뉘우치며 내 말을 두렵게 여기는 자에게 은혜를 베푼다.”I created the universe, so all this came into being. “I am humble and repentant, and I show grace to those who fear my words
‭‭3 “그러나 자기 멋대로 행하며 죄 짓는 일을 기뻐하는 자들은 소를 잡아 제사를 드려도 사람을 죽이는 것과 다름이 없으며 양으로 제사를 드려도 개의 목을 꺾는 것과 다름이 없다. 그들이 곡식을 드리는 소제는 돼지의 피를 드리는 것과 같고 그들이 분향하는 것은 우상을 찬양하는 것과 다름이 없다.”However, for those who do what they want and take pleasure in committing sin, sacrificing a cow is no different from killing a person, and sacrificing a sheep is no different from breaking a dog's neck. Their grain offering is like offering the blood of pigs, and their incense offering is no different from praising idols
‭‭4 “내가 그들이 받을 형벌을 택하고 그들이 무서워하는 재앙을 보낼 것이다. 이것은 내가 불러도 그들이 대답하지 않으며 내가 말하여도 그들이 듣지 않고 오직 내 앞에서 악을 행하며 내가 기뻐하지 않는 것을 택하였기 때문이다.””I will choose their punishment and send on them the calamity they fear. Because when I called, they did not answer; when I spoke, they did not listen; but because they did evil before me and chose to do what I was not pleased with
‭‭5 “여호와의 말씀을 두렵게 여기는 자들아, 여호와께서 하시는 말씀을 들어라. “너희 형제들이 너희를 미워하며 나를 섬긴다는 이유로 너희를 따돌리고 ‘여호와께서 영광을 받으시게 하여 우리가 너희 기뻐하는 모습을 보게 하라’ 고 너희를 조롱하지만 그들은 수치를 당할 것이다.”Hear what the LORD says, you who fear the word of the LORD. “Your brothers will hate you and turn you away for serving me and mock you, saying, ‘Let the Lord be glorified and we will see you rejoicing,’ but they will be put to shame
‭‭6 “성에서 들리는 왁자지껄한 소리와 성전의 요란한 소리를 들어 보아라. 그것은 여호와가 자기 원수들을 벌하는 소리이다.”Listen to the noise of the city and the noise of the temple. It is the sound of Jehovah punishing his enemies
‭‭7 ““시온이 해산하는 고통을 겪지도 않고 갑자기 아이를 낳은 여자처럼 되었으니”Zion suddenly became like a woman giving birth without any pains of childbirth
‭‭8 “이런 일을 듣고 본 자가 누구인가? 어떻게 나라가 하루 아침에 탄생하겠으며 어떻게 한 민족이 순식간에 생기겠느냐? 그러나 시온은 산통을 겪는 즉시 그의 자녀들을 낳았다.”Who has heard or seen these things? How can a nation be born overnight, and how can a nation be born in an instant? But Zion went into labor and immediately gave birth to her children
‭‭9 “내 백성이 탄생할 때가 되었는데 내가 어찌 태를 닫아 그들이 태어나지 못하도록 하겠느냐? 이것은 나 여호와의 말이다.””The time has come for my people to be born; why should I close the womb so that they cannot be born? This is what the LORD says
‭‭10 “예루살렘을 사랑하는 자들아, 예루살렘과 함께 기뻐하고 즐거워하라. 예루살렘을 위해 슬퍼하는 자들아, 예루살렘과 함께 크게 즐거워하라.”Rejoice and be glad with Jerusalem, you who love her. Rejoice greatly with Jerusalem, you who mourn for her
‭‭11 “어머니의 품에 안긴 아이처럼 너희가 예루살렘의 풍성한 것을 마음껏 누리며 즐거워할 것이다.”Like a child in its mother's arms, you will rejoice and enjoy the riches of Jerusalem to your heart's content
‭‭12 “여호와께서 말씀하신다. “내가 예루살렘의 평화를 강물처럼 넘치게 하고 온 세계의 재물이 너희에게 홍수처럼 쏟아져 들어오게 하겠다. 너희가 어머니의 젖을 빨며 그 무릎에 앉아 노는 어린 아이와 같을 것이다.”Jehovah says: “I will make the peace of Jerusalem overflow like a river, and the riches of the whole world will pour upon you like a flood. You will be like a child that plays on its mother's lap and suckles her milk
‭‭13 “어머니가 자기 자식을 위로하듯 내가 너희를 위로할 것이니 너희가 예루살렘에서 위로를 받을 것이다.”I will comfort you as a mother comforts her child; you will be comforted in Jerusalem
‭‭14 “너희가 이런 일이 일어나는 것을 보면 너희 마음이 기뻐서 원기가 왕성해질 것이다. 그때 너희는 나 여호와가 나를 섬기는 종들을 돕고 내 원수들에게는 내가 분노하는 것을 알게 될 것이다.””When you see these things happening, your hearts will be filled with joy and strength. Then you will know that I, the LORD, help my servants and am angry with my enemies
‭‭15 “여호와께서 불을 가지고 오실 것이며 그의 수레는 회오리바람과 같을 것이다. 그가 무서운 분노를 터뜨리고 화염으로 책망하실 것이며”The Lord will come with fire, and his chariot will be like a whirlwind. He will explode with terrible anger and rebuke with fire
‭‭16 “불과 칼로 세상 모든 사람을 심판하실 것이니 많은 사람들이 죽음을 당할 것이다.”He will judge everyone on earth with fire and sword, and many people will die
‭‭17 “여호와께서 말씀하신다. “자신을 거룩하게 구별하고 정결하게 하여 우상을 모셔 놓은 정원에 들어가서 돼지고기와 쥐고기와 그 밖의 다른 부정한 음식을 먹는 자는 망할 것이다.”Jehovah says: “Anyone who sanctifies and purifies himself by going into a garden where idols are kept and eating pork, rat, or any other unclean food will perish
‭‭18 “나는 그들의 생각과 소행을 알고 있다. 때가 되면 내가 예루살렘을 칠 민족들을 모을 것이며 그들은 와서 내 영광을 볼 것이다.”I know their thoughts and actions. In due time I will gather the nations against Jerusalem, and they will come and see my glory
‭‭19 “내가 그들 가운데 놀라운 기적을 행하여 살아 남아 도망하는 자들을 스페인, 리비아, 활 쏘는 사람들이 많은 리디아, 두발, 그리스, 그리고 내 명성을 듣지도 못하고 내 영광을 보지도 못한 먼 나라로 보내겠다. 그들이 나의 영광을 모든 민족에게 선포할 것이다.”I will do amazing miracles among them and send those who survive and escape to Spain, to Libya, to Lydia, where there are many archers, to Tubal, to Greece, and to distant countries where no one has heard of my fame or seen my glory. They will declare my glory to all nations
‭‭20 “너희 이스라엘 사람들이 제물용 곡식을 깨끗한 그릇에 담아 성전에 가져오듯이 그들이 온 세계에 흩어진 너희 모든 동족을 말과 수레와 마차와 노새와 낙타에 태워 예루살렘의 거룩한 산으로 데리고 와서 나 여호와에게 예물로 드릴 것이며”Just as you Israelites brought grain for sacrifice in clean vessels to the temple, so they will bring all your brethren scattered throughout the world on horses, carts, chariots, mules and camels to the holy mountain in Jerusalem to offer as an offering to the LORD
‭‭21 “나는 그들 중 일부를 택하여 제사장과 레위인을 삼을 것이다.”I will take some of them to be priests and Levites
‭‭22 ““내가 만들 새 하늘과 새 땅이 내 앞에 항상 존속할 것이 분명한 것처럼 너희 후손과 너희 이름도 분명히 존속할 것이다.”Just as the new heavens and new earth that I will create will endure before me, so your descendants and your name will certainly endure
‭‭23 “매월 초하루와 안식일에 모든 민족들이 나에게 와서 예배할 것이며”On the first day of every month and on the Sabbath, all nations will come and worship me
‭‭24 “그들은 나를 거역한 자들의 죽은 시체를 볼 것이다. 그들을 파먹는 벌레들이 죽지 않고 그들을 태우는 불도 꺼지지 않아 모든 사람에게 역겨움을 느끼게 할 것이다.””They will see the dead bodies of those who rebelled against me. The insects that eat them will not die, and the fire that burns them will not go out, making everyone feel disgusting
