1 "너는 아카시아나무로 분향할 단을 만들어라(“Make an altar for incense with acacia trees)

2 그것은 가로 세로를 각각 45센티미터로 하여 네모 반듯하게 하고 높이는 90센티미터로 하며 단 네 모퉁이에는 뿔이 나오도록 만들어야 한다(It shall be square, 45 cm wide and 90 cm high, with horns protruding from its four corners)

3 그리고 너는 그 단의 윗면과 전후 좌우 면과 뿔을 순금으로 싸고 윗 가장자리에 금테를 둘러라

(And you shall cover the top of the sheaf, its front and back, its four sides, and its horns with pure gold, and you shall put a gold edging around the top edge)

4 금테 아래 양쪽에는 운반채를 꿸 금고리 두 개씩을 만들어 달고

(On both sides of the underside of the gold frame, make two rings of gold with a carrying pole attached to them)

5 아카시아나무로 운반채를 만들어 금으로 싸라

(Make a carrying pole out of acacia wood and cover it with gold)

6 그러고서 너는 십계명을 넣어 둔 법궤 위, 곧 내가 너를 만날 속죄소를 가리는 바로 그 휘장 밖에 이 향단을 갖다 놓아라(Then you are to place this altar of incense above the ark where the Ten Commandments are placed, outside the very curtain that covers the mercy seat where I will meet you)

 

신령이나 부처에게 향을 피워 올리는 단
An altar to burn incense to a deity or Buddha

7 아론은 매일 아침 등을 손질할 때 이 단에 향기로운 향을 피워야 하며

(Aaron must burn fragrant incense on this altar every morning when he trims his lamp)

8 또 저녁에 등불을 켤 때도 이 향을 피워야 한다. 이와 같이 너희는 나 여호와 앞에서 향을 피우는 일을 대대로 계속하라(You should also burn this incense when you light the lanterns in the evening. Likewise, you shall continue to burn incense before the Lord throughout your generations)

9 그리고 이 향단에는 내가 지정하지 않은 다른 향을 피워서는 안 되며 그 위에 동물이나 곡식이나 포도주를 제물로 바쳐서도 안 된다(You must not burn any other incense on this altar, which I have not appointed, and you must not offer sacrifices of animals, grain, or wine on it)

10 아론은 일 년에 한 번씩 속죄제물의 피를 향단 네 뿔에 발라 이 단을 정결하게 해야 한다. 이 향단은 나 여호와에게 아주 거룩한 것이다. 향단을 정결하게 하는 일을 대대로 계속하여라"

(Aaron is to purify the altar once a year by applying the blood of the sin offering to the four horns of the incense altar. This incense altar is very holy to me, the Lord. Continue to purify the incense altar from generation to generation”)

11 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다(Jehovah spoke to Moses)

12 "너는 이스라엘 백성의 인구를 조사할 때 각자 자기 생명의 값을 나 여호와에게 바치게 하라. 그러면 네가 인구 조사를 할 때 그들에게 재앙이 미치지 않을 것이다

(“When you count the people of Israel, let each of them pay the price of his life to the Lord, so that when you take a census no disaster will come upon them)

13 인구 조사를 받는 사람은 은 약 6그램을 나 여호와에게 바치게 하라

(Whoever takes the census shall give to the Lord about 6 grams of silver)

14 20세 이상 인구 조사를 받는 사람은 모두 이 돈을 바쳐야 한다

(Everyone over the age of 20 taking the census must give this money)

15 너희가 이 생명의 값을 나 여호와에게 바칠 때에는 부자라고 해서 더 많이 내거나 가난한 사람이라고 해서 덜 내는 일이 없도록 하라(When you offer the price of this life to the LORD, do not let the rich pay more or the poor do not pay less)

-> 하나님께서는 공평하시다라고 말할 수 있는 부분으로 보입니다. 20세 이상은 누구나 어떤 일을 해서라도 돈을 벌 수 있는 나이이고, 몇 일 굶는다고 해서 죽지는 않을테니까요.

It seems to be the part where you can say that God is fair. Anyone over the age of 20 can earn money by doing anything, and starving for a few days will not kill you

16 너는 이스라엘 백성에게서 이 돈을 받아 성막 비용으로 사용하여라. 나 여호와가 이것을 너희 생명의 값으로 여기고 너희를 기억하여 지켜 주겠다"

(You are to take this money from the Israelites and use it for the cost of the tabernacle. I, the LORD, will regard this as the price of your life, and I will remember you and protect you")

17 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다(Jehovah spoke to Moses)

18 "너는 놋으로 넓적한 물통과 그 받침을 만들어 성막과 단 사이에 두고 거기에 물을 채워라

(“You are to make a large brass basin and its base, and place it between the tabernacle and the altar, and fill it with water)

19-20 아론과 그의 아들들은 성막에 들어갈 때나 단에 가까이 가서 나 여호와에게 불로 제물을 태워 바치기 전에 이 물로 반드시 손발을 씻어야 한다(Aaron and his sons must wash their hands and feet with this water before entering the tabernacle or approaching the altar to burn offerings to the Lord)

21 이와 같이 그들이 손발을 씻어야 죽지 않을 것이다. 이것은 그들과 그 후손들이 대대로 지켜야 할 규정이다"

(So they wash their hands and feet, and they will not die. This is a rule that they and their descendants shall observe from generation to generation")

22 여호와께서 다시 이렇게 말씀하셨다(Again the Lord said)

23 "너는 제일 좋은 향품, 곧 순수한 몰약 약 6킬로그램, 향기로운 육계 약 3킬로그램, 향기로운 창포 약 3킬로그램,

(“You will find the best spices, about 6 kg of pure myrrh, about 3 kg of fragrant cinnamon, about 3 kg of fragrant calamus,)

24 계피 약 6킬로그램, 그리고 감람기름 약 4리터를 구하여

(About 6 kg of cinnamon and about 4 liters of olive oil were obtained)

25 향을 만드는 방법으로 이 모든 것을 섞어 향기로운 거룩한 기름을 만들어라

(Mix all this in the way of making incense and make fragrant holy oil)

26 그런 다음 너는 이 기름을 성막, 법궤,(Then you will pour this oil into the tabernacle, the ark,)

27 상과 그 모든 기구, 등대와 그 모든 기구, 향단,

(The table and all its utensils, the lampstand and all its utensils, the incense altar,)

28 번제단과 그 모든 기구, 그리고 넓적한 물통과 그 받침에 발라

(anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and the large bucket of water and its base)

29 그 모든 것을 아주 거룩한 것으로 구별하여라. 이것에 접촉하는 사람이나 물건이 다 거룩해질 것이다

(Set them all apart as very holy. Anyone or anything that touches it will become holy)

30 그리고 아론과 그의 아들들에게 이 기름을 발라 그들을 거룩하게 하여 제사장으로서 나를 섬기게 하라

(And anoint Aaron and his sons with this oil to consecrate them so that they may serve me as priests)

31 너는 또 이스라엘 백성에게 나 여호와의 말을 이렇게 전하여라. '이것은 너희가 나를 섬기는 데 대대로 사용해야 할 거룩한 기름이다(You shall also tell the Israelites these words of the LORD: 'This is the holy oil that you are to use throughout your generations to serve me)

32 너희는 이것을 제사장이 아닌 다른 사람의 몸에 부어서는 안 되며 또 이 기름의 제조법대로 이와 같은 것을 만들어서도 안 된다. 이것은 거룩한 것이니 너희가 거룩하게 여겨라

(You must not pour it on anyone who is not a priest, and you must not make anything like it according to the recipe for this oil. This is holy; you should consider it holy)

33 이와 같은 것을 만들거나 이 기름을 제사장이 아닌 다른 사람에게 붓는 자는 누구든지 자기 백성 가운데서 제거될 것이다' "(Whoever makes something like it or pours this oil on someone other than a priest will be cut off from among his people.”)

34 그런 다음 여호와께서 모세에게 또 말씀하셨다. "너는 몰약과 섭조개 가루와 페르시아 순지와 순수한 유향을 똑같은 중량으로 섞어(Then the Lord spoke to Moses again. "You shall mix equal parts of myrrh, calamus powder, Persian cinnamon, and pure frankincense)

35 향수를 만드는 방법으로 향을 만들고 거기에 소금을 쳐서 깨끗하고 거룩하게 하여라

(Make incense the way perfume is made, and salt it to make it pure and holy)

36 그리고 너는 그 향 얼마를 빻아 곱게 가루를 만들어 내가 너와 만날 성막 안 법궤 앞에 두어라. 이것은 너희에게 아주 거룩한 것이다(Then, grind some of the incense into fine powder and place it in front of the ark in the tabernacle where I will meet with you. this is very holy to you)

37 너희는 이런 제조법으로 너희를 위해 향을 만들지 말고 그것을 나에게 바쳐진 거룩한 것으로 여겨라

(You shall not make incense for yourselves with this recipe, but regard it as a sacred offering to Me)

38 이 향의 냄새를 맡으려고 이와 같은 것을 만드는 자는 누구든지 자기 백성 가운데서 제거될 것이다"

(Whoever makes something like this to smell this incense will be cut off from among his people")
